How have only 138 people seen this!? It's amazing! Big Vincent L🧡VE here! Amazing model, great video. Thanks for that!
Nailed it! Now it's time to make a B.O.B.!
Very cool build, great content in the video! Also, solid props to you for lifting up your 3-D artist friend who helped. Good to see mutual support! Love Vincent!
That is really awesome. I was 12 when The Black Hole came out so don’t feel too bad.
Bro,,, I would love to see your v.i.n.cent in person, the black hole is my favorite movie ever made. That movie made me fall in love with films, music robots and science. It took me 40 years to finally get all 3 robots from that movie,, and I bought doubles lol... I actually want to write a script for a sequel or prequel
Very nice! V.I.N.CENT is one of my favourite movie robots all time!
V.I.N.CENT is one of my two favorite Sci Fi robots right next to the B9 Robot from Lost In Space. I even tried making my own V.I.N.CENT after seeing The Black Hole. I wasn't there in the 70's but I loved watching the movie and he has a place in my heart for fandomness. He was made from cereal boxes so not very accurate but is was fun. I'm glad to see you made one.
Incredible build. Nicely done, Sir.
This is fantastic ! I love Vincent and the black hole I just watched Minty Comedic Arts - 10 things you didn’t know about the Black Hole The lighting and routing was unbelievable Great job

That movie blew me away as a 5-year-old kid and the score in the beginning is so haunting.
Amazing work...I absolutely love this! I am a HUGE Black Hole fan and I am just captivated by your enthusiasm for this gem of a movie. I always tell people it's my 1A behind Star Wars and Alien. So I guess it's 1C😉
As a movie promotion, there were a number of 1:1 VINCENT replicas, made by the marketing dept, and in a dozen or so major metro areas. I remember my local news visiting the fully lit up and moving VINCENT replica, and how to enter your number to win it. So that means that there are between a dozen and maybe 20, studio made replicas that lit up and moved (and possibly made noise) SOMEWHERE out there. I hope someone else remembers this contest... I won an R2D2 Pepsi cooler and a 10 ft Naboo starfighter wal mart model for their Phantom Menace display , but no VINCENT.
Wow amazing work Thomas. I also still to this day adore this movie. I have the DVD and the special edition VHS with a full story book along with color stills from the movie. I think this material is ripe for a remake. Once again fantastic work Thomas!!
Your build and all your other builds are absolutely amazing - I watched this video with a massive smile on my face as it reminded me of my childhood and yeah Maximilian still scares me lol!!!!!

WELL DONE! Find your channel from watching World of Micah, Tampa Jay, & adam the Woo! What a great surprise it was! I have two drones that I have named V.i.n.cent and Maximilian !
I absolutely love this movie in 1979. Definitely. My favorite Disney movie of all time. I have action figures of Vincent and Maximilian and honestly Maximilian is probably my favorite robot of all time.
That’s great! I love this movie!!!
You made my heart happy! :D
Well done for its time..
Now that's some superb work! Very innovative, sir! And now for the Boss Fight: Make Maximilian, who is indeed the most evil robot of all time! 😁 (And we must be around the same age, because I was Age 7 when my parents took me to see The Black Hole in 1979. I was well into my teens when I finally _stopped_ looking away or closing my eyes a moment before Maximilian shreds a hole through Doctor Durant's chest. Anthony Perkins' acting was just too good! 'The Black Hole' was _very_ hardcore for a Disney movie.)
Since they have the same eyes, I choose to believe that Lighting McQueen is Vincent's great great grandpappy.
Well done thomas
Just got recommended this video, great stuff :-)
That is grand. I was one of those kids who saw this in the cinema. I never understood how people didn't love this movie, but I'm fully willing to own up to the fact that I have MASSIVE nostalgia blinders when it comes to The Black Hole. I had all the toys (that were available in the U.S. anyway), had the books and I can't remember if I had a Black Hole lunchbox or not, but if one was made I'm sure I wanted it. V.I.N.CENT, Ol' B.O.B., and Maximilian will always be high on my list when it comes to film robots. I put them right up there with R2 and Forbidden Planet's Robbie the Robot. And a few places higher than the Lost In Space Robot as well.
That was GREAT!
Excellent job!
thank you for your creativity . as a kid , i loved V.I.N.CENT and bought the toy action figure .
Really Nice Work.
That's great. I don't think anyone has ever created Vincent. I had a toy of him (and bob) as a kid. They even had toys of them in ceral boxes (Shreddies I think?). As an adult , I now recognize that Vincent and Bob are the epitome of 70's Disney creating a robot. They look like physical cartoons. The eyes mostly but the entire design looks like a cartoon robot come to "life".
When Star Wars came out other space movies that were released soon afterwards were basically still doomed
This is educational and fun
V man was a badass
FANTABULOUS!!!
Great work! Any new builds or updates?
Great video
Question.... how did you get more than one backdrop for the V.I.N.Cent, Old B.O.B, & and MAXIMILIAN on the desk? I'd love to have a bigger backdrop than just the one that came with the set.

I ordered the figures online. V & B came with the base and Max comes with the back card. When Max arrived, it was defective. I contacted the seller and they sent me a new Max. Hence the 2 card backs in one base.
Awesome! I was 13 I wanted to build a home like the ship to live in, still do but I would settle for the Millennium Falcon it would be much cheaper to build lol I love the mood and the color and theme of the movie the only flaw were the standing robots dummies,, I should probably make my own edit and cut that out and it would be perfect 👍
I'm trying to recreate this for myself. Does anyone have any tips or info for making the little light wave on the front? I'm not sure where to start with it.

You can try and contact the person I used to make my lights. His name is Peter. He has 2 emails you can try... pupfield@assureiv.com or peter@theironeasel.com. I know after the video came out he had several people contact him to make the LED displays.

Modpodge is the best for foam sealing.
Is anybody doing a Maximilian replica? I would love to see it!
I have a challenge for you. I can't prove it. But if you do a side by side comparison of Deep Thought from the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, the TV show version and Maximillian I swear you'll see where ole maxy was dreamed up. I think The Disney guys were fan boys.
Way to go, KZread. I have to click in the right BLANK SPACE to find your show notes. Where did you get the 6” foam?

I'm in Central Florida. A construction supplier called White Cap. Also search HD Supply near you.
Why were the eyes so dead & linear ? Even as a 10yr old I thought the eyes were suspect !
I know it’s been awhile since you posted the proton pack but what is the screw you used on the coupler because I have no idea what to look up for the screw
Brilliant! Maximilian next!!!!!
V Cool!
10points for using the Black Hole score
awesome job. make BOB next
Vincent is cool, but how'd you get that Max done?
@MacGalvin

The benefits of working for a sign shop. Max was printed on 3M vinyl then applied to a sheet of 4'x 8' rigid corrugated plastic. Then I hand cut him out with an exacto knife. Happy to take an order for one. I still have the print file.
How did they fit a man inside that robot?

Well, Roddy McDowell was a small man. Getting Slim Pickens to fit in BOB was a challenge, though. 🤣

The robots were on wires like puppets. Vincent, old Bob, and Maximilian.
