Back in the 1970's I entered a competition to win a studio scale VINCENT. I did not win... as a result I have now embarked on a project to build my own 3d printed studio scale replica of VINCent.
V.I.N.CENT (short for Vital Information Necessary CENTralized) is one of the protagonists and a robot from Disney's 1979 live-action film The Black Hole.

I just want to say Ricardo I command you on you. 're building Vincent with a 3D print out. I really think that's a wonderful idea. And I remember the movie and vincent was the bomb. I commend you and I compliment you sir well done very well done sincerely patrick

The scene at the end where the fused antagonist overlooks Hell after going through the black hole - classic.

xyzzy3000 yeah too true ... the ending was really open to interpretation
I love this film, the music was so scary. The only sci-fi film from that time I love more is Silent Running.

Holy crap, I thought you were gonna built a little 2 or 3" model, not a full size one!!! I've seen your R2D2 in the background of some shots, I cant believe you built that yourself. This is such a great little interesting episode, I cant wait to see you detail the build.

1977 is the beginning of the 80's. By then most of the 70's look and feel and style started to morph into early 80's. Some of the films you show are definitely 80's films. Including The Black Hole. I'd say 1976 early 1977 is the end of the 70s.
Whow! Everything you just said relates to me as well! I've been a member of the Vincent builders group a while now and am about to get my own s5 to build my very own Vincent and R2, so I'm really looking forward to more updates on this :D I'm hoping that some Old Bob files might someday be released as well.

Too true, this has really been a Labour of love for me. The R2 was built using 'conventional methods but I do fancy making another. VINCENT showed me how easier 3d printing has made the whole prosess
I understand not giving away another person's STL but can you mention where you got it from?
How have you never heard of Ernest Borgnine? borg- nine, not bor-geeni
