I accidentally tried one of these from whole foods. All I saw on the label was "brown butter" and I grabbed it but it was a browned butter chocolate chip cookie Nutella croissant. Pretty much inedible and I have a huge sweet tooth, love rich chocolate desserts. I gave it two bites and tossed it

Exactly what I've been thinking. Inside, as a filling, seems alright but smash another one on top and it just looks like a croissant underneath a spotted turd. 😅

I made this at home and they are quite good! The trick is to not overcook it.. you want the cookie dough to be gooey.

Price has nothing to do with that. The combination itself is the biggest issue. People are concerned about their health eating just one of these desserts. What if they are combined together it’s a catastrophe.

I didnt mind the crookie that i had, it just felt like an inferior version of both a cookie and a croissant. I also felt like the price i paid for the one i got was too much for what i got.

I think, like any other hyped up pastry, folks will have their feelings. As a home baker who used to run my own cake business out of my home, I'd never add these to my menu as croissants are too fussy for me to do on a regular basis, but I'd definitely go buy them somewhere, they look decadent - but they'd definitely be just a once in a while treat I think! 😅

Our head baker and I tested the crookie at our bakery and we decided it was too monotone in flavor to be enjoyable so we had it as a special for like one weeked. She said no more crookies after that cause they're too boring 😂

I made one for the first time yesterday using store-bought ingredients. It was a little rich, but definitely delicious. I love the textural differences, especially with the gooey cookie in the middle. Nutella might be too sweet for me, but I can understand why this is a hit. These look great!

Our local bakery has a caramello one and biscoff then plain crookie. Love the caramello, it’s my favourite!!

the croissant is supposed to be flaky and lightweight (even though usually super buttery)... you're kind of defeating the point by putting cookie dough in it..... as a french person I cannot bear things stuffed into a croissant 😩😩

Noooo its soooo good its just like every trend at some point people got tired of hearing of it and start hating on it while they use to love it themself ( and i know some just dont like it and its normal but the " hate" its just from the fact that this became so trendy )

I've been baking and eating so many cookies lately that nothing that has to do with cookies excites me anymore 🥲 However, I am sure that those who like cookies will love the new flavor. I once had a croissant with pistachio cream and it was divine, I don't need more from a croissant!
I made one for the first time yesterday using store-bought ingredients. It was a little rich, but definitely delicious. I love the textural differences, especially with the gooey cookie in the middle. Nutella might be too sweet for me, but I can understand why this is a hit. These look great!
