I’m sat here procrastinating about trying to get my Automata build done. While watching your video. 😂 I’ve put off so much planning and household stuff over the winter blues. I have been cracking on but the project went to the back of the queue. But now I have watched your video. Nice build! My thought to make the lid open comfortably, is to a a fixed strip of material at the backside, so that the hingepoint moves forward. You would end up with a slightly smaller lid, but I think it would be large enough to put your shoes away with ease. Your shop looks interesting. You ever thought about giving a tour? Great video, Steve, i would definitely challenge you to a procrastination-off (tomorrow). really enjoyed it though and the late great Chris Cute used to have a chanel called "make the first cut" which i always try to think of when i'm struggling to get started. The first cut is normally the hardest one to do then you are away.
