Making real antique style wood trim for your home or haunts!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I'm currently renovating a room in my house and moving a door from one side of the room to the other. This has given me chance to build the doorways exactly as I always envisioned them. Using pine and some clever uses of stain I produced some antique looking trim at a fraction of the cost it would take to get real trim. Yet easy enough to build to replicate many times to make an entire house match in style!

Looks really nice brother. I happen to love Pine. It has a beautiful grain. Well done.

I know it’s not 100% haunt related, but I’m sure someone will find a use for it in their builds! Thanks for watching MM!

Thanks Czarnick, I am by all means not a trained woodworker, but I know enough to make things look like I do! I actually have used this same trim around my patio door but that one got a whole bunch of arches included, maybe I'll share that one to give people Ideas as well.

To mark those jobsite templates and jigs, like the one at the beginning, we used to spray paint them an obnoxious color. Acid green, hot pink, flourescent orange whatever can catch your eye from across the room. Otherwise they always disappeared halfway through!

That is a brilliant idea! I’m going to do that from now on,so my super important templates don’t get accidentally junked! Thanks for watching 😀

I love how beautiful, specific, yet over-the-top awesome this design is for your room project! Is this similar to other rooms in the house or do use an entirely different style throughout?! Great tutorial as always!

I’m planning on changing every door in the house to this style. I’ve always liked the older style of design, warm colors, ornate woodwork, I just happen to live in a time where getting amazing wood has become very expensive. The outside of my house has been transformed into what looks to be an English country house, and now I am making the interior match it! The style is not for everyone, but I’m the kind of person who could live in the Addams family home and be right where I belong! I usually decorate for Fall at the start of September, and have decorations up till Jan 1st and I find decor like this just lends itself to complementing any decorations I put up on it. I’ll throw a picture of my living room half wall I built into Patreon and you can see how this trim ties into it perfectly! Thanks for watching and your support Fraidy!!

@@SamhainPropworks Nice! I really appreciate design styles like this where you can incorporate more colors, details and some history! Can't wait to see the progress!
