All of these video show the same situation. Shoddy, ill-prepared materials; appallingly dangerous working conditions; and a complete absence of what we'd call quality control. Workplace safety and commercial standards are not dependent on GDP or high technology.

@@scottbilger9294 I'm not sure what you're trying to say. You're in an end stage capitalist state where much of the industrial might has been exported out or otherwise converted to a service-based industry. This is dirty work, and it's irrational to expect a developing country to somehow magically leapfrog to adhere to standards of your nation, which likely also has seen the same levels of workplace hazards in its development. The commendation here is that highly skilled and very niche work continues to be done by people with very limited technical resources.

While the whole world has shifted to very compact SMPS based chargers, it's heartening to watch the transformer assembly. I'm sure this machine will last for a very long time. Almost indestructible, but lack of earthing is a major problem 😵‍💫.

@@lorenzo42p Honestly I dont think they know what they are doing. Its more about repeating what someone else showed them and repeat the process. Hence why it's such a crude charger but I bet its dirt cheap and good enough for the locals who likely have minimal needs. I could be wrong on what they know though. Ill be honest. Wish I was a bit of a handy man to build basic equipment if ever needed. He won't suffer that bad in a post nuclear holocaust world.

Actually that will work , This one diode ( Half Wave Rectifier ) can cut off AC Negative half cycle so polarity will not change and will not blow up a battery . But With 2 diodes ( Full Wave Rectifier ) would be a lot better and it can not rise price much . would decrease charging time twice

Full bridge rectifier requires 4 diodes and it is better to just use a 20amp 12v or 24v switching powersupply than this shit , it's way more efficient and more powerful , weighs less and depending on the manufacturer quality it can be really good. Other than audio and highly sensitive equipments there is no other need for transformer & diode based powersupply.

Как я понял 5 ампер выдает при максимальном подключения обмоток трансформатора,на вид диод возможно выдержит 10а. Ну трансформатор при таких токах при желании не реально спалить ( на мое предположения примерно 600ват при такой сборки) . Можно было поставить мостик на 50 ампер прикрутив к уголку трансформатора уже зарядка выдавала уже 10а .один автомат на 3а по высокой и 16 а на выходе .на видео не обратил какие автоматы используют.

Рентабельность в ноль уйдет, да и трансформатор долго работать будет, а так из за подмагничивания будет греться, вторичка из ПВХ провода коротнет, сгорит, купят новый.

A typical battery charger, made to the lowest possible price. Every possible corner has been cut. Which is somewhat admirable, but it leads to serious issues. You have organic insulation, improper laminations, poor insulation, poor connections, no grounding, no thermal or current cutout, no lockwashers, no grommets, no ventilation, no handle, no wheels, and low efficiency. It may work for a while but also may burn up or short out at any time. No guarantees!

@@RobertRichard13 it can still break, but it is easier to fix than a modern switch mode power supply with microprocessors and lcd screen and lithium batteries. a transformer and a diode can be fixed easily by someone with minimal knowledge. it doesn't go in the trash, it gets fixed or rebuilt.

Или Д214? или Д231? может Д248? Диодов в корпусе КДЮ-11-4 много. Максимальный ток у этой линейки 10А, на корпусе зарядки указан ток 15А, либо обман, либо это не серия Д...

@@TheAAA2012AAA Да какими танцами, ты посмотри, практически полный цикл производства - трансформатор намотали, в кучку все собрали, 1 диод, 1 амперметр и немного винтиков. и главное - это работает. и заметь, без всяких там igbt транзисторов, диодов шоттки и микроконтроллеров. И, тут нечему ломаться, неожиданно. Не надо плодить сущностей сверх необходимого.

Вольтметр и амперметр на выходе, преды на входе и на выходе, выпрямление двух полупериодное, плавная регулировка силы тока, три выходных напряжения: 6, 12, 24 вольта, световая индикация наличия напряжения) Лет 20 прошло, а зарядник все работает)))

А можно узнать, что Вы увидели отличного? Ну разве что отличное от нормального. )) George Gonzalez выше уже всё исчерпывающе написал. Вообще всё это напоминает самоделку из советских книжек для детей - типа для оччень умелых ручек; когда ручки умелые есть, а больше нет нифига.) В советские времена (особенно ранне советские) очень популярно было. Вот это оно мне и напоминает - кружок юных и очень бедных техников. ))

Если вспомнили советские времена, то почему не говорите о том, что в те годы у нас на заводах и кустарно частники, тоже делали такие зарядные устройства? А Ваш Гонсалез в глаза такого не видел в своей стране, поэтому написал всю ерунду про заземление, токовое ограничение, охлаждение, колёса с ручками и так далее, потому, что просто туповат в этом. По входу стоит автомат на 10,5А, на выходе на 20А, трансформатор намотан нормальным проводом с хорошей изоляцией, охлаждение в виде прорезей на боковых стенках есть, соединения винтовые - это хорошо. максимально просто и понятно для людей, многие из которых писать не умеют, что не так?! Есть похожие видео с производством ЗУ, там действительно жесть.

At 12:55 a diode is soldered into the circuit in series with the amp meter for half wave rectification. No capacitor is required to charge lead-acid batteries.

Did not even use a full wave rectifier. Single diode will double the time to charge..but probably better to use single wave for that shit quality transformer. And their grids are crap anyways so doesn't matter if this distorts the mains frequency or not 😂

SMPS are cheaper and lighter than these.
