Hello and welcome to Cambridge Pinstriping and Airbrushing and...

Having fun with painting and custom builds, mostly motorcycles but you can find here anything else that is or can be turned into a good time!

Great use of stuff just laying around to make things easier, for sure! Couple strips of rubber (even heavy duty heat shrink tubing would work a treat) on the upper tubes for anti-slip. A slot cut in a cheap socket extension , pop it in a drill, and easy power lifting too. 😎

Already on it mate. Wrapped the top tubes in rubbery cord. Works a treat!
I use one of these jacks on my bike now and then and have been meaning to try to make it a bit more sturdy, so I'll be copying this. One addition I have made to mine was that I welded a bolt onto the winding point, so rather than using the awkward handle, I can just use my air wrench or a ratchet to operarate it easier and quicker

Not a bad call bro. I may as well implement that to my design! Good call
Excellent job Mackie I was going to buy one of those Jack's but now I'll be making one thanks to you. Keep up the good work.🤘

Good idea Mackie...Maybe add a couple of eyes for a strap to hold the bike to the stand.

It already got number of useful holes on the base, so these work just fine for that purpose.
Great stuff Mackie. Always thinking outside the box. Cheers mate!

Or outside the tube in this case ;) glad you like it man. Cheers
Nice work Mackie. When I had that bike, the stand was what I always needed, so it's always great to have some inspiration for a simple fix! Skäl David

Good man. Happy to inspire!
I had a similar idea for lifting my car and placing them under each tire. Obviously the design would be a lot sturdier but having a lowered car makes it hard to work underneath.

Yeah, cars are obviously much heavier. I wouldn't trust my welding skills with these ;) Just saying..
Brilliant job. I used to use a scissor jack to lift under the engine when I was working on the front of the bike, but I was always worried about the stability. You have solved that problem. I have a trolley jack now so it’s much better.

Yes, same here. Always worried it'd tip over. Not anymore :)
Well done! I had the same idea in mind and had to search online about it, and I found your video so I know it is possible and that it will work great for my bike.

Muito bom. Parabens
I am going to make mine with 2 of those scissor jacks but this is a great idea to get my bike off the ground a little bit

Good job you've made of that, and especially as you seem to have used stuff that was otherwise scrap, as it were. I am doing a bt of research to help me decide how to make something like this for a little 150cc scooter, so I don't keep hurting my poor lower back bending down. (Existing back problems). Though I cannot make direct use of what you have done, it's good for reference, so thanks.

Nice work, just add couple caster wheels and BUMM you can move it around the shop with out take the bike off.

Not a bad shout.,..the only problem would be stability maybe, or the raised height. WOuld it fit under the bike? Hmm...

Dude. Do you buy Pinstripping and Kustom Graphics Magazine? Issue 77. If so buy next months coz I’m in it ! Cool ain’t it. I was asked for some paintings for it to be published. Not only that, I’m on the front ruddy cover with my painting of Norman Wisdom. Can’t wait to have a look. Keep up the whittling.

MackieBass . Was also asked to make a donation to the dads army museum with one of my paintings of them. Gotto try and earn money first but I said I would do it when I got a spare 5 mins. 😂. Also at the same time I’m trying to have a go at learning the keyboard. That’ll be a laugh.

Weld a nut on the spinning rod end so you can lift it in 2 seconds with a drill
