@@nuggetdealer2432, it is a Japanese ritual suicide in which two people are involved. The person committing suicide takes a Dai Katana(dagger) or other blade and guts themself. The other person, second(assistant), then beheads the person. It can also be done without a second. It is considered an honorable way to die. It's usually done when someone has brought great shame upon him/herself, family, organization. Saving face is one of the biggest things in Japanese culture. Another way to atone is to cut off your pinky and present it to the person whom you embarrassed.
The simplicity. That visible golden ring. That tightness when you put it inside the scabbard. So satisfying.

That was awesome! And I love the ingenuity of the tools he used.
I love that little edge profiling device you have, that's really smart and saves a lot of time and can prevent over edge profiling mistakes. Just super handy to have on hand.
I must commend your craftsmanship, exquisite tool-manship and your engineering talents! The use of minimal tools and how deftly you handle them has me in raptures!! A joy to watch!!

Excellent video process! There is a common misconception that making a small knife is easier but the reality is that you still have to go through all the processes and grinding small blades can actually be a little harder! Great work here man!

@Hoolahups you are sorta right, the larger it is, the more hard work and overall more work, but the smaller the more precision, accuracy, and time it takes for the small things

I'm impressed you have all of your fingers... beautiful work by the way.
Watching and listening to the speeded up process is, I think, more interesting than the object itself. Fascinating, on some other level.
