Hello my friend, in this video I made a dagger from a rusty file that I found in my workshop, I tried to show all the stages of making this dagger. I hope you liked this video and you won't forget to subscribe to my channel and share this video with your friends!

That was outstanding. Loved that extension on the tang; genius. That mini hidden pommel was a wonderful move. It's a truly beautiful knife with a handle that is a perfect match. What threw it over the top was removing all the teeth from the file. 10 out of 10 on this dagger. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Good job but explain what is the logic behind cutting one tang off to put a new one on it doesn't make any sense

In my case I would have done it because a good portion of the tang was going to be cut off anyway. Did you see the facets on that thing? It’d have to be cut down and reshaped anyway, so why not just cut it all off and skip some work?

When I use a file to make a knife I'll do the same thing to get a longer tang with a uniform width.

Great job it looks insane. But why not use the forge and actually forge it to shape? Wouldnt it cut down on grinding time and abrasive use?

Looking good..its a roll of the dice on files..some are only case hardened and don't make good blades..while others are great to use..cheers..

I like to leave the original tang intact and extend it to make a longer blade on a dagger project.

Why did you cut off so much material from the file and then add an extension when you had plenty to start with? Loved the finished result though.
