Making Gluten-Free Mug Cakes with Siobhan Muir

Happy Valentine's Day! Do you ever feel like having cake but don't have time to run to the store? Or you don't have the time or ingredients to make a whole cake? This is a great quick and easy recipe to give you the cake you're craving without all the time or effort.
INGREDIENTS
Base
Microwavable mug
1/4 cup flour (we use Bob's Red Mill GF 1:1 baking flour)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp oil
3 Tbsp milk
Lemon Poppyseed Cake
Base plus...
1/2 Tbsp poppyseeds
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 Tbsp extra sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
Stir until completely combined.
Microwave for 25 seconds, let deflate. Repeat twice more. Serve.
Chocolate Cake
Base plus...
2 Tbsp mini chocolate chips
2 Tbsp coco powder
Stir until completely combined.
Microwave for 1 min, let rest, then again for 25 seconds. Serve.
Cinnamon Spice Cake
Base plus...
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Stir until completely combined.
Microwave for 1 min 15 secs. Serve.
Almond Poppyseed Cake
Base plus...
1/2 Tbsp poppyseeds
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
Stir until completely combined.
Microwave for 25 secs, let rest. Repeat twice more. Serve.

How easy was that. Great to do with kids as long as supervised
I've made mug cakes, they're pretty good.
So,If I add whip cream it will no longer be Gluten-Free????

Cream doesn't have gluten in it. You have to be careful with some of the processed varieties in spray cans. Check the ingredients before using.
