Hey folks! I sadly cannot ship to Europe and the UK. Shipping there requires a VAT ID, and it is really hard for small businesses to get them. As of right now, it's not something I have control over/time to figure out. Thank you for trying to support my shop anyway! For those asking why not just cross post to Etsy as well - their fees take so much away from small businesses and it's just not something I can consciously support anymore. Plus, I'm a busy mom of 2 and need to have my shop all in one place. Thanks for being so understanding! 💜

Disappointed and surprised because you first talked about this a while ago when you were in the other room. I assumed you had sorted it out so when I realised I couldn’t buy two of your prints today I was unhappy. As you said in your video, it is a business. In business you maximise your selling market so you should have sorted it out. Many other KZread artists and sellers sell worldwide, even ones with a lot fewer subscribers than you. Hope this changes, from an unhappy subscriber 😕.

Promote away Mira, self promoting is a must when having your own business, and we all love seeing your videos and your art process. But I completely get how awkward it can feel to share/promote yourself. I'm just starting out here on YT and find it so daunting with the whole multi-tasking thing- the struggle is real! 😆

Have you tried out printing on demand yet? Makes it so easy for customers overseas! Like Printful for example.

The quality and volume of work Mira produces is incredibly impressive, and she's so generous in sharing what she knows about making art. One of the hardest working artists we know!

I have to comment because the fact that people give you crap for promoting your artwork and the business you are building from selling it just blows my mind. Promoting yourself and your work is part of being an artist. And if you have a successful platform on which to do it, you'd be dumb not to. Don't ever feel bad for doing so. And allow yourself to be proud of what you create and the work you put into it. Also, thank you for being honest about the struggles. Too many post the "Instagram Perfect" without acknowledging that there are often a lot of missteps and redoing of things until we are moderately happy with the outcome. Because as we all know, a painting is never really finished.

Even without the business element we shouldn't be afraid of some self-promotion, it's about building our confidence and belief in ourselves. Negativity in response to such a thing can make you feel like a little flower trampled underfoot by a careless, oblivious or just downright miserable human but you know what, those little flowers are not defeated, they regroup and come again to share their beautiful blooms. I LOVE the landscape painting. Especially the clouds. Clouds/skies at sunset is one of my most favorite things in the world!! While driving down the road in the evenings, many many times, I will see a beautiful sunset and cannot help but to just thank the Lord for His wonderful creation and praise Him for it! I wish so badly I could paint sunsets and do them even a tad bit of justice like you can!

I absolutely love the superbloom painting! This looks like it might be depicting the Anza-Borrego superbloom. I live close to that area. I really enjoy watching your painting process. It amazes me how you can go from a magenta background to a blue and white gingham! You do beautiful work, Mira!

Never feel ashamed or anything like that about sharing your art with us and "pitching" your shop and paintings. You're an amazing artist and you deserve to be able to offer these things to the world and there's tons of people who want them.

I don't really know how many people are reading this. But, when you said you hate the hustle culture, I really felt it. Our worth is not at all measured by the amount of time we work or how productive we are. You know, there's a lot more to a person than that. Because of social media we now compete with almost everyone and bring others and ourselves down. We don't socialise, we don't interact except on social media. That's so sad! We are losing so much because of this hustle culture and I'm really glad you spoke about it. Let's try to explore the world more, meet and socialise physically, help eachother and stop comparing ourselves! Let's all be down to earth and remember what made us humans unite ❤️

Hi Mira. I've discovered your channel recently and been binging all the content. I just want to say as someone who is a content creator in another forum (writing, not painting) never be ashamed of promoting yourself. If we don't promote ourselves, who will? It's not as though knowledge of what we provide magically appears in people's brains. And as someone who wants to support the creators I follow when I'm able to, I *want* creators to tell me how to do that. I'm amazed at how often I find out by accident that someone I follow has a Patreon, or a book, or something that I would happily support if only I'd known about it. People give hash because they don't understand that promotion is part of the job and repetition of that promotion is *also* part of the job. The way the algorithm is someone might not have even seen the first one through ten mentions of a new item in your shop but that 11th time is the charm. And you know somehow I don't think people who pick on small business creators like yourself are giving the same hash to the millionth Pepsi ad they're seeing that day, you know? So please never feel shame about doing your job. Some people complain but they're people who don't understand how it works. And I can promise there's people out here who *do* understand and are even grateful to know where and how to support you.

No worries, Mira. This IS your business. You should not be made be feel ashamed about that. You are positive, creative and you teach your listeners to have grace with their artistic expression. There is a lot of value here.

I think it’s great for you to have your own site! And a place to have your art go. I especially like how you have things small and at different price points, so we can have a little piece.

I don't know why that wave painting hit me so hard, but I am overwhelmed with the yearning to make art just for the sake of making art right now. For a couple years now all my focus has gone into video game creation which I love, but it's also so different and doesn't really give you the satisfaction of anything ever being 100% finished, lol Visually the Creature of Stillness is by far my favorite :3 so cute!

I may not be able to buy merch since I live in Europe. But I saw the flower sticker and thought it was a coaster. Would be really cool if you have coaster sets from the water quartet and flower quartet you did! And you can make more sets. You could do a blubble fly set, and a series with animals and clothes!

This is a type of add that I 100% approve & enjoy :) All the paitings in the video I loved and some made me think "oh, I wish I painted that". I also want to say that when I was experiencing art block recently it was one of your videos that made me excited about painting again & got me pick up my brushes and finish a painting. So thank you for that! :)

Stand tall and proud of all that you do! I need to hear this as much as I am saying it, but it is true, we as artists are so often discouraged from telling people about our art- it's nuts! We watch almost all other types of people who run their own small businesses being encouraged to self-promote, why not art? Chef's promote their menus, musicians go on tours, and other businesses only exist because of advertising! You sell beautiful, creative art that people get joy from owning. I have 3 prints of yours, the Hawaiian underwater pictures. I love how they are a bit abstract, but you can still tell what they are. I also love how you use your brushstrokes to make the waves look truly like water and I wanted to be able to study that so that maybe I could learn it. Don't hide or apologize- I'm grateful you share what you do, thanks!

I, for one, LOVE your content, Mira. You are so talented! And the fact that you want to sell your work, is amazing. Because I know for a fact there are folks out there who will buy it. Because it's beautiful and it speaks to the soul. I don't sell my works, because they are just pieces of paper to me. But I've had offers to buy. I enjoy just giving my stuff away. But art isn't my job. I understand that you need to make money to survive, as we all do. I don't see the difference in you advertising your creations for sale versus the shop downtown advertising their sales. Or Walmart advertising theirs. Or a company that mows lawns, or an air conditioning repair company advertising their services... how will we know what's out there, if people don't tell us or show us? So I say: keep doing you. I have tried painting in the way that you do when you paint your fields of flowers and I cannot do it LOL the way that you paint those flowers and make them look so good is amazing. Same with the way you paint your water.

All the painting you did for this video are beautiful. My favorites are the field of orange flowers and the moody water. I’m not a fan of orange but that painting is so bright a cheery. It looks as if there is a moth or bird forming in the clouds of the painting.
