Creating 3 Paintings at the SAME TIME?! *oddly satisfying*
Ойын-сауық
Today I'm creating 3 paintings at the SAME TIME! Let's do a trio/collection of oil paintings and keep swapping between them thoughout this video! This is going to be fun, because at various points you will see me slide the paintings to the side and pull in a new one! I've never painted multiple things at once other than Christmas ornaments and sketchbook stuff, but I REALLY loved the process of doing this on a full blown canvas. Definitely think I will do more simultaneous painting sessions in the future.

This is a great idea for anyone, but especially if you tend to overwork a single piece. Working on multiple paintings at once, even when they don't each relate to one another, keeps you from adding too much paint, disturbing a wet surface, or just picking at something that needs to rest for a day. Lots of artists DIY their panels with common hardboard and acrylic gesso, but cradled Gessobord panels are perfect for those who want a ready-to-use, ready-to-hang solution that meets the standards of professional art. Mira, we'd love to know what your presentation/installation/hanging hardware is for a cradled panel: Framed or unframed? D-rings and picture wire? Do you add a kraft paper dust barrier? Just being nosy :-)

I am doing a polyptych painting soon and I think I'll take Mira as inspo to try keeping the characters consistent. I've never been great at that kind of thing so I may need a little luck along with the skills I've shaped over the last 30 or so years.

You guys always are so supportive. Keep up the awesome.
I often do this with watercolour, it’s actually a pretty good idea to work on multiple pieces at once to allow the layers to fully dry underneath 😊
Who else thinks that Mira is a very creative person ? She’s admirable with the various art styles she has done and the creativity that is being used in her artwork.

ad-MIRA-able lol true
I paint 3-6 custom denim jackets at one time, because when my brain gets overworked on one I can recharge with another. It’s also easier for me to not feel overwhelmed with multiple orders sitting around needing painting. It keeps my brain in a constant creative state! It’s nice to see another artist doing multiple things at once as I always thought I was crazy 😂
You are so inspiring. I always strive to hide all brush strokes and here you go selling a print that actually shows the brush strokes. It really reminds me to be more open to being less of a perfectionist and let me art simply exist.
Mira, this turned out so beautifully! Maui is a special place for me as well. You captured the magic of the moment. 🤗🥰
They came out nicely. I sometimes work on more than painting at the same time too, even with acrylics. Or if I’m painting a craft, I might paint in a sketchbook at the same time. Also, the GoPro looks like a fun camera.
3:48 almost a marble effect too which is cool 😎 water marble! 🌊🌊🌊💧❤
I really like this project. Water is so beautiful. My eyesight is terrible so this gives me a view of water that I probably wouldn't see live so thank you for that. I'm pretty intimidated by oils. They are so vibrant though I may try them out one day.
These are absolutely spectacular! I love the entire idea behind it, and did they came out incredible!!! That feeling of swimming is TOTALLY there, and the brushstrokes are just beautiful!
Stopped the video as soon as you said the originals and prints were in your shop. Missed out on an original but got a print! Yay! Loved watching you do this video...almost like I was in Hawaii, under the water myself.
I remember when you took those picture and mentioned this project. So nice to see that you managed to do it. It was lovely to watch
Was really good to see this one again this week with the islands hurting so bad
I have a large painting and whatever it's called when you have two canvases to make one piece... it's triptych with three, but I'm doing two... it's a bit of an illusion where there is a girl looking through what looks like a mirror, but when you look closer, the clothes aren't quite the same, and the two girls have their hair different. It's actually a girl looking at her twin sister through a wall cutout, and the other painting will be from the pov of the other sister. I will display them back to back as one big picture.
Your videos always makes me want to open my sketchbook! Keep it up!!
These compositions look so cool, and I liked seeing the inspirational footage too!
Gosh, the waves you painted are so gorgeous. You make me want to practice painting water!
I would like to see a comparison of the same painting using the burnt sienna and not.
I've not been following you that long. And I must say I thoroughly enjoy your content and your art work is amazing..
Love love love this series! Maui is also my favorite island destination. Hamoa Beach near Hana is my family's favorite beach in the world! I just ordered a print so excited to see it! 💙🤙🏻💙🤙🏻💙🤙🏻
You captured the beauty and feeling of that moment of looking up from under water so beautifully. I love all three!
Wow! So beautiful! Your water art is amazing Mira! ❤️

These are beautiful 😍 I love watching your channel to pick up tips and tricks that you share along the way.
I was about to go sleep and saw the notification. This makes my night, I love the ocean and scuba dive and this remind me of it. I just told my sister the weekend I Dont like waiting for paint to dry and therefore paint more than 1 at a time. She did watercolour for the first time the weekend and are super good and so fast.
You are so talented Mira and never fail to make my day better! Thank you :)
I absolutely love watching her paint ❤️
Brilliantly conceived and executed!
All of the painting turned out lovely=)

Those were amazing, love the idea of painting your view from underwater! I now want to do this, too. Thanks for sharing, loved them so much I ordered prints of all three. :)
What a beautiful idea! I love seeing the movement and brushstrokes. This is probably one of my favorites of your paintings that I've seen on the channel. :) Happy painting!
Very good Miranda. I love them all.

You're always inspiring me to try things! I need to go back through my pictures and GoPro footage from my recent Maui vacation to see if there's anything I need to paint.

Bravo, three times bravo. 💜
I love these
Beautiful dear love them
I love your videos ❤❤❤
Plzz resume your Starbucks cup painting series again 🤩
Hi Mira, have you ever tried those water mixable oil paints? If you don't like using the oils and stuff to thin/mix your paints these could be a really good alternative?
😅 Happy new subscriber here!!! I really like your channel and I hope to watch more in the future
I do this all the time! Sometimes even like 10 at the same time
When you said at the same time my brain thought okay a paint brush in each hand painting all at once but that didn't make sense where would the third come from lol 😂
Thanks for sharing the video, really inspiring..can I ask that do u use any kind of linseed oil or turpentine oil for liquify the paints? And how much time we should give a painting to dry and when to varnish? Lots of love from India 💓
I'm trying to stay on a more natural route while trying oil paints as well. Do you have any brush cleaning tips?
Hi Mira, what varnish will you be using?
I hop back and forth between paintings all of the time. I am primarily a watercolourist, and while I'm waiting for one painting to dry, I just swap over to work on something different.
What's the difference between geoosed canvases and "normal" ones when painting with oil?
Hi mira! 🫶🩷 Have u tried a gel retarder for acrylic paint? It slows the drying down so it's almost like using oil paints (minus the fumes) 🫶🫶🫶

Great question! I prefer oils over doing that, but I’m glad it’s an option for people who would prefer not to use oils! 🥰🥰🥰

@@MiraByler absolutely! I mean U already have the oil paints so why not. Great option for those who may not be able to afford oils and all the things 🫶 The paintings turned out so pretty!! I've wanted to try doing a painting viewing from underwater for a while, and these turned out perfectly 🫶🩷 thank you for your fun and quirky videos xx
Lovely paintings Mira. However I am among the many people that cannot purchase your products 😢 as we live outside the US and Canada. Could have spent lots on a variety of things. Please think about providing a way for those of us overseas to buy your products.🙏🏽

Thank you! I would really love to ship to other countries again, but the new VAT laws are really confusing and getting a VAT ID is also confusing for small business owners. I need to eventually hire someone to help me with this, but right now I just can’t do it. Hopefully one day! Thanks for trying to support my shop. I appreciate it. 💜💜

Hey, just wanted to let you know that the Native people of Hawaii are asking people to not visit or move to Hawaii. This is because of the harm that is being done to the environment and the displacement of Native Hawaiians as far as housing goes and rising costs. Many also are lacking clean drinking water and tourism and people moving there is putting a strain on their resources, especially of the most marginalized as opposed to people who can afford to live there or visit.
am i the only one that doesn’t see it? i personally don’t like them myself 🤷🏼♀️
First and love you Mira!
