I am an SLP in early childhood. You podcasts, materials, modeling are so helpful as I continue to reach young children and their families. Run to buy her manuals if you have not. They are so helpful to me, teachers, instructional assistants I work with and to share with my families. Thank you so much

Thank you Laura. Now I finally understand why 2 of my 3 kids never liked books. Both language delayed. My daughter finally started liking books after the age of 3. My son is 28 months old, autistic, and I am trying to find ways to help him progress. Thank you for all of your videos Laura. You dont know how helpful you are with all this informative content.

Hi Laura. Thank you for the video. Our daughter says more than 300 words but phrases are infrequent. She is 20 months old, should we do something about it or just keep going? Thank you.

Hello Laura Mize , I have a question. My toddler who is now 3 about to turn 4 use to talk . about 1 month before I had my baby . He was 21 months old at the time. Also we have moved to a new house. He was getting early intervention services. He was able to say at less 100 words but now he will only say mom but it sounds like he has to strain just to say mom. He will shake his head for yes or no. He smiles and seems happy but he also does not want to be hold and pulls away from me. He laughs and squeal when he is happy. I find myself praying and crying myself to sleep. He just started preschool and is to be said non verbal since he doesn't talk anymore.... Do you have any advice for me ? I would greatly appreciate it ......

My 2.5 year old will not let me read him a book. He takes the book and throw it and throws a tantrum. I’m at a loss. I’ve never seen a toddler do that before.

What are your child’s interests? Use their subjects of interest to suck them in. How about a book that makes sounds to start with?
