Can you do a video on teaching late developers or kids on spectrum emotions or a good book reference to help us parents teach our toddlers emotions

I really enjoy your all videos, but I have a question for you Laura did you see more speech and communication issues than before when technology was not too advanced? Is there any link between speech issues and modern technology and it's over usage? Thanks

What do you do when your 2 year old only wants YOU to play and do what they want you to do with their toys? For an example put the toys to “bed” or have a dinosaur chase xyz toy. When I try to have her play and do it instead and be involved, she typically throws a fit.

Just chiming in with some ideas! Perhaps they are enjoying the repetition and gleaning something new from it even though it seems redundant to you. Maybe the redundancy is comforting and predictable. Maybe they like being “the boss” so maybe engage them in copy cat games with body movements or play schemes where they do it first and then you copy. Maybe try to switch it up and be silly about it where you put the toys under the bed and then make a big deal about how that’s so silly and expand the play from there (make the toys eat and think things are yummy but then switch it up and make the toys eat and think things are yucky so they toys say “yuck!!”- and be animated!). Same with the chasing game, switch it up so all of a sudden the dinosaur is being chased and make it so silly and fun that they don’t realize you’re not doing what they want you to do because they’re laughing at your silly sounds and faces! :)

Those are good ideas! Thank you! She definitely just likes to play the same sort of games over and over again, so this would be a nice little change.

Hi, so I bought all of the books you have available on your website. I haven't gotten them yet. But is the book you are referring to in this episode in the books you have for sale on your website?
