As someone who doesn't have access to any (useable) animation programs and can only animate with Photoshop and a video editor, most of this is absolute gibberish to me but in a fascinating way.

Hello there! I know that krita is decent and Opentoonz is really good! I would suggest these two because there are a ton of tutorials about how to use 'em.

Why don't more people see this guy's videos? Even when I'm just animating I listen to the animoot podcast. You get a like!

I do 3D, but I really enjoy any animation, and I haven’t found any other channel that does Toon Boom so in depth and in such an amusing and informative way. Also nodes are nodes and have similar principles in different software, so I’m just a bit weird and curious about nodes, even if my 3D nodes are TOTALLY different from the toon boom nodes lol. Anyway keep up the great work! I love your different series! Maybe bring back between the frames at some point please? A great idea that came to mind for that series is Family Guy did an episode called, “Back to the Pilot” I believe it was called that or something similar, and they have the new digital animation and side by side try to replicate the original style of the Pilot, and even cleverly insert the new style with the old and vice versa, but that’s just an idea! Love your videos anyway, i look forward to it!

Ok so pegs are just basically null objects in Ae like dummy layers for the sake of parenting objects together and animating multiple objects with the same action.

Blimey. That’s insane what you accomplished in just half an hour. Great result! The switch node is interesting! I haven’t seen that one before and looks really useful. Thank you for introducing me to it and a few other tricks shown here

honestly I dont know much about animation, and I love this! I love how much detail you can add to is in only THIRTY MINUTES!!! the only thing I wish was different was the shadow. but then again ;-; this is awesome still. I just wish the shadow went further behind the eye as the blast became lighter, to really show that the laser gets lighter, and lighter and behind the eye it gets darker and darker. otherwise I love this awesome job!

That’s some great feedback! There’s a lot of twinges and imperfections that make me hesitate uploading something like this, but perhaps if there were enough suggestions it would be worth returning to this to see what refinements could be made in another 30 mins, lol

Bru, that tone trick with apply peg transform is GOLDEN, thank you. One q pls - I recently got a Macbook pro 13" 2020 but TBHP20 kept crashing on it, TB Support reckons the GPU is whack, trying to output to my Cintiq 22HD. But, my old Macbook Pro 13" running TBHP15 works fine on the same Cintiq ??? I dunno. How important is a good GPU to you, and may I ask what setup you use pls? Windows I imagine? And GPU? Thanks. (I sent the Macbook Pro back, hopefully for a refund).

Sorry bro I can’t help much in the ways of specs. I used to also run on a MacBook, things would get slower as the file got denser. I eventually invested in a higher tier PC so naturally now I can do all sorts of insanity without it breaking a sweat
