    I assume it's already been suggested, but man it'd be cool as you build stuff throughout the winter to put them all in one box, then once it warms up and everything starts biting, just have a fish-a-thon day where you proof test them all.

    I absolutely love that idea.I can imagine myself feeling "oh! I remember that one!" as he pulls them out of the box. I also like the idea of *having* to catch a fish on each one, unless it's just truly unusable, which very rarely happens.

    I'm not a bait maker,but I make many things from wood,epoxy resin etc,but this channel quickly became my favorite to watch,I'm actually in the process of carving my first trout,we get monster size brook trout here in Labrador,landed and released a 9lb male last year,140km trip in jet boat,one of the best trips I've ever had,countless amount Brookies landed and released,kept a few land locked salmon,and well pike...pike everywhere haha

    Hey, Nate. This is a GREAT idea, nicely executed. I hope you'll do a follow-up where you experiment with stiffer Plastisol blends. Would you consider using white for this new series of prototypes, so we can see the swimming action a bit better?

    Need to see a vid of this in the summer. Those ribbed baits are my favorite to fish with. They look so cool man an the thought behind u making it like with the slot for the hook is awesome. Best soft plastic yet. Put that mold on the website will be the best seller

    I'm not really sure if you've done this, even though I've been watching for a while now, but I'd love to see a like spring time winter revisit. Take all the baits you made in the colder months and see if they preform better in the better water conditions.

    You should try an Epoxy Resin and Wood Swimbait, like half and half? Or drill some holes in wood and fill them with colored epoxy and try to carve a lure out of it. I know it's possible my uncle used to carve bird sculptures that were part wood and Epoxy and they were Insane.

    I make stamps with my 3018 pro laser engraver/ cnc engraver. I use the laser to create them using foam from the hobby store. I love the ability to create something like your molds that can be used over and over. Instead of burning one piece into something. Loved the piano montage. Eligant. Can't wait for the next bate! Can't wait for a long "One dayyyyy" video.

    A pro tip I've used A LOT when temporarily joining 2 pieces of wood is to lay down painter's tape on either piece, and put the super glue on that. I use it on router templates for guitar bodies and it holds together surprisingly well but also snaps apart clean when you need to separate them!

    Still 2.5ft of ice where I am, heading out ice fishing tomm. Almost the end of the season though it melts fast, great job on that bait it looks like it would be very versatile up here for Walleye, Pike and Bass.

    Love your creative passion for bait-making. Fifty years ago i made several molds for lead pouring using a Dow Corning RTV product in red. Now i want to make a rather small ice fishing jig to replace the Northland Hexi-Fly, which has been discontinued. Can you recommend a contemporary mold making material? TIA
