I often use white peg board for cabinet backs.Allows air out and can hang stuff inside and out.
I actually really appreciated that you left in that you made a mistake, the cabinet is gorgeous but knowing that people who have skills that you aspire to, can make mistakes still is actually reassuring.

I consider you one of the very, very best woodworkers on the internet so it makes me feel just a little bit better to see you making mistakes. I wish I made so few.
What I like about this is that mistakes are made.. they're not hidden.. very honest and a fantastic build.
Thanks for including your goofs, Neil. Its comforting to know that even a craftsman as talented as you still makes mistakes! Regardless the cabinet turned out beautifully! The fit on those drawers is impeccable. I really like your new glass shop doors, BTW. Im guessing you did it for climate and bug control, but it really dresses up the place! Glad you took some well-deserved rest. Cheers!
I have to say I particularly love your videos, especially the ones where you mess something up but then come right back to it with a fix and don't edit out the mistakes like some others do. If you ever get bored and go walkabout, come to Florida for a visit... it's similar to Australia with the heat and everything here trying to kill you.
Fabulous build. I also loved seeing your fixes when things didn't go perfectly.
Man after dealing with my little jobsite saw..... I'm also 99% sure it's impossible to not flick a caster wheel after you put it on.

"I am not an expert at cabinet making". Oh yes Sir, you are ! Repair jobs too were masterly. Learnt how to handle such errors.
Nice to see even seasoned pros make mistakes with the orientation of their pieces when cutting holes. Respect to you for fessing up.
Man, that saw glides like butter. I’m drooling over here with my crappy little ryobi contractor saw.
how anyone can give this a dislike is beyond understanding - I think some people might be a tad jealous . Great work , great result even with the obligatory mishaps.
“I’m no expert cabinet maker” while making absolutely perfect cabinets!
This is still one of my favorite videos on this channel... I bet I've watched it 5 times.
That’s a handsome cabinet. I love seeing furniture makers make “shop” stuff because it’s so utility oriented and easy to build, but they always come out nice enough to put in your office save for the look of the materials. That saw stop panel attachment is really cool. I used to use a panel saw regularly and it’s a massive timesaver, but it was an enormous and expensive machine. This one looks to be perfect for average use.
I love all your videos. As I've said before I am unable to do much woodworking due to being disabled but I really do live my woodworking dreams through videos like this. Thank you so much from chilly West Sussex, UK.
Cant wait till sawstop sends my table too!!
A very thoughtful build! I appreciate that you don't make us watch repetitive tasks, and that you don't hide screw-ups. We all have those after all! Keep it up!
I’m really glad you show your mistakes and explain what’s going on. No matter how prepared I am I always goof at least one thing. Good work!
I like the way you left the mistakes in. Excellent work. Possibly air displacement holes on the under side so bigger draws don't open the others when closing.
That thing that moves the saw was really really cool.
That sliding table and it's accessories are sweet!

Really great advertisement for that new sawstop attachment. Beautiful work as always.
How refreshing to see a man show his work; mistakes and all. Thanks for making the rest of us feel better about making mistakes. We all do but some are too proud to show them. Enjoy your videos.
Less is more. Old school works for me.Very nice thank you.
Beautiful cabinetry. You make very fine furniture. That would look good in any home, much less a workshop.
Very Nice Cabinet, also sweet is the sliding add-on to the SawStop!! I like it. Thanks
That tool cabinet looks absolutely gorgeous Neil. The fit of those drawers is a joy to watch, especially the way that one pushes the other out! I guess if this ever become a nuisance, you could drill a few small holes in the back panel of each drawer housing, to allow the air in/out when opening/closing them. I have to admit, I'm a little envious of the nice new extras that Sawstop have sent you for your table saw, it must be really nice to use :) I also wanted to say, thank you for showing us how you fixed some of the mistakes that you made, but more importantly, for including them... it proves that, as humans, we all make them occasionally. Sometimes people edit the mistakes out of their videos and it gives a false sense that they never make mistakes. I guess more accurately though, it just means that they'd prefer not to admit to making them!
New clamps, new saw but same old you. Great skills man. Keep it coming my friend.
Love the drugstore style drawers that you can just take the whole drawer to whatever you’re working on.
Pask Im a new subbie here . I really appreciate that you included your “happy accidents” that all of us make, but only a few include. Thanks for no ridiculous outtakes with corny jokes. Just plain old woodworking .!! Thanks.... you have my vote
I love that you showed your errors and how to correct them
I feel like varnishing the drawers with greek yoghurt is a creative and interesting choice.
Extra sawdust = extra dramatic effect lol. Nice cabinet. I wish I had the skills to make something like that. One day
That is too good for a workshop. It looks fantastic. I’d be proud to put that in my house.
Great build as usual. I enjoyed puzzling about why you weren't filling the accidental dados, then hearing that you held them back because you intended to make fake stop dados for the shelves using the same basic procedure.
Wife wants to build a built in entertainment center next year and this is teaching me a lot of great techniques.
Thanks for being honest with all your little “Oops’”. Just goes to show even the experienced wood workers make mistakes and need some rework. Love the cabinet, great job, and love the saw slide!
i love your attention to finishing and your workshops so smart.
I love the glass doors in your shop. All the light is great. Great woodworking thank you.
WOW! That sliding miter is a beauty. Very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
I already appreciate how you highlighted both the mistake as well as the way to fix it!
I appreciate your forthrightness in owning up to mistakes that you might have made, as we all do, but it helps us to realize that we’re not the only one to do dumb things sometimes. 👍🏻
Your cabinet is beautifully made. I love your shop; a lot of our workshops are in a tigh spaced garage with no or very little natural light. It’s a joy to watch your video. Thanks for sharing 😃

Love that Binford sticker on the frigo!
That table saw extension sled is really nice!
That looks just absolutely awesome.
I know this is a bit of an old video, but I just love this cabinet. Would look amazing in my craft room!
Awesome build! Compliments from a furniture man. Just a free tip: For this style of drawer, you could consider drilling some holes in the back panel behind the drawers. They will let the air in and out and make the drawers operate easier.
I love that you show your mistakes as the rest of us that are learning from you will for sure have our own set of issues. Showing that perfection isn't reality!

Welcome back. We all missed you. But you definitely deserved a break after a year like that and ending it with a week of daily projects. Love the cabinet.
This video is basically a huuuuge table saw flex... I love it😂
Drilling a hinge hole where there's a shelf - trust me, we've all done that! Suggest some small 'ventilation holes' on the back of the cabinet to mitigate the vacuum that opens the opposite drawer. Having said that once they are full it probably won't be a problem; depends what's inside.
Luv the new saw! Painters masking tape on the face of your plugs to catch them when sawing. Bandsaw works great to. Your my favourite channel!
Nice work, you make it look so easy.
Almost nobody seemed to have noticed the Binford sticker on the fridge. But I did. Praise Tim Allen.
Love your videos. You always show me things I would never choose to do that come out quite spectacular.
Nice to see you making the same silly mistakes that I make every time I build something like this! Nice workarounds and fixes though, and a stunning result as ever. Thanks for sharing.
I love the new set up Neil, it looks amazing, I've been sharing some of your videos with my woodwork classes, as we're still in Lockdown here in Ireland it's not easy to teach Woodwork over the Computer, so you're excellent narration and explanations in your videos have helped me massively in showing students some woodwork and how the design process is done by top end professionals, one amazing part is when you highlight your mistakes, that's great for showing students how you need to be aware that everyone makes mistakes, it's just about learning from them. Excellent stuff as always, great to see you back.
