    Looks awesome! What blade are you using on your table saw? Seems to handle the rip and crosscuts well.

    Why I watched this video: I work as a craftsman for some of my day, and when I'm designing or fiddling at my desk, I like to see other people knocking stuff together by hand. It doesn't seem to matter much what it is.

    I try to work on only one infinitely-long project at a time, and I already have one going.

    Now that you have some proper machining tools, you should update the plans and remake this out of aluminum. Offering a kit would also be very interesting.

    Beautiful. Your an excellent multi-disciplinary craftsman for sure. Love the forged legs, gives a lot of balance to the piece.

    I really enjoyed the video and it’s and product ,but no offense to your friend, I wish you had someone better playing it. I’m not quite sure how it sounds.

    Watched this because I need to cut and fold some metal for custom wheel wells on my 2003 Aliner Scout camper, after a tire blowout trashed one of the wheel wells and the adjacent floor.

    That is an absolute work of art honestly, and the black epoxy lines contrast fantastically with the wood. Only observation would be the method of attaching the support frame to the top, which isn’t fitting for such a marvellous piece … just my opinion mind.

    Why did you choose to use a band saw for cutting the veneers instead of using a plane like in the past?

  • @r0llinguphill483
    @r0llinguphill4832 күн бұрын

    Nevermind, I didn't realize they had metal in them. I guess using a plane wasn't possible or a realistic option.

    Absolutely amazing skills, and yet even when under a two week deadline, you didn’t cut corners, or make a bad mistake from rushing, and have to rebuild a part. I’m impressed. I feel my hollow body will probably take around 6 months, doing it evenings and weekends around my regular job. Kudos.

    Both tables are beauties. This technique would be fun to use with an Escher design, where two patterns fit together. Another idea would be to make a platter or table where the outer edge mirrors the inside tiles, like a star filled with stars. Whatever you do next, I'm sure it'll be another great project.
