Making a wall mounted ironing board
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I did a renovation to my bathroom, but the floor model ironing board was taking up to much space. I was not able to find a wall mounted ironing board, so I converted my floor model to a wall model.

Hi, do you have any measurements for the wood used and for those of us who may not have a tools to cut metal? I'm definitely trying to become more DIY as far as woodwork and just need a little bit more assistance. Thanks so much for this video!!!

No real measurements as not all ironing boards are the same. Mounting the board to the wall and the leg to the board are the key pieces. Use what works for you. A inexpensive hacksaw will cut metal. Good luck!!
You are most welcome.
COOCOORRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
What about one of those shorter ironing boards . . . or shorten the one you have. Instead of attaching the hinge to the end of the ironing board, cut the ironing board to the required length and install a piece of wood (using screws) to the "new" end. The hinge would attach to the wood. That may work.
Nice video. My problem is my ceiling in my basement is too low. I might have to buy one ubilt into the cabinet sets. $150.00! It's a shame, this fold up model was $60. Now I have to throw it out and spend $150.00. I'm thinking for $210.00 I can buy new wrinkle free clothes!
You're welcome.
you're welcome
How did you attach the wood piece to ironing board at 5:30? How is it attaching to such thin piece of metal?

@@BuddyWhoDoesStuff what kind of screws are those?
Hi, i just made my own ironing board from plywood and a custom made iron stand( very similar to yours, but am flummoxed as to how to keep it on the wall... the part about how you fixed it to the wall to keep it from falling isn't clear.. could you help? i thought about adding a hook to the side but that might catch on the clothes while being ironed? thanks in advance.
How has the stability tested over time? Has it gotten loose or wobbly?
could please help me problem solve not being able to view this vid? i would love to learn how you converted this ironing board but my laptop and kindle fire wont play it.
Hope it helps. Feel free to post a pic of your finished project.
I wish I could help, but I'm not sure what I could do. I thought youtube was universal. Sorry :-(
*Great product but I needed the door to slide to the rightㅋ>**imgs.love/sWallIroningBoard?ㅖ ** Flipped the unit upside-down and changed the hardware accordingly. Took about 10 minutes.*
@lafnloud could you please...
If home was a sinus cavity, the standard ironing board would be a mucilaginous obstruction (gummy booger), one holding off runny nasal flow. So menacing as it is, it's also of some use. Still I can't recall when mine last met with light of day. Buying one of those pre-fabb'd stow away boards encased in melamine is, well, about as reasonable an expense as, say, spending $150 - 200 on a box of generic tissues. What else can one do who's lacking means and desire for constructing something similar to those grossly-over-pricey, ready made things? For starters, they can watch this video. It provides a basic plan involving feasible alterations. At long last, my ironing board dinosaur is about to transform from a dreaded monstrosity into a convenient accessory. Many thanks, for helping me . . . pick my n-- uh, well . . . for helping clear my sinus!
