She never deserved to go through the abuse and trauma that she did but she got a new lease on life with you, even if she wasn't as outwardly grateful for it as Toupac was. She got to spend the rest of her life being treated like the queen she was and we'll all miss her.
Brock I'm so sorry I've watched you with Tupac and Maeve, now Beatrix. You have loved these animals like no other, you have done everything you possibly could to give these animals a great life. It's so hard to say good bye but she lived as an actual tucan with you when you saved her. Lots of love and hugs from Canada you have a good heart never doubt that ❤

It's okay to be sad, and take time to mourn. The animals we bring into our homes become members of the family.

Sweetie, we grieve with you. Please know that you did save her. The few years you were able to give her she thrived. She had a much better life than she had with that teenager. Even though she had a rough start, you saved her. I know it's difficult to lose a fid, and the love you had for her makes it hurt all the more. Beatrix is over the rainbow bridge ready to bite the crap out of you one day. Thank you for caring and loving these magnificent birds.
I’m so sorry, Brock. You’ve experienced so much loss over these years, I can’t imagine how difficult it has been for you. As tough as it is, you are doing something truly amazing and giving these birds the lives they deserve. Beatrix, Ripley, Maeve, and Toupac will all be remembered by all the people you and your birds have touched.
You gave Beatrix the best life possible and that's amazing. We will send you all the good vibes. ❤
Although most of us have never met you, please know Beatrix and you are loved. You are not alone. Even if not physically, we are with you. Thanks for being you, and sharing Beatrix, and all of the others with us.
I know it's always the hardest decision but thank you for letting her go as peacefully as possible.I think we'd all choose the same for ourselves if we could. You did the right thing

I had to let my Senegal parrot go last year due to metal toxicity. She was suffering. It's a nightmare decision to have to make
Oh Brock. I’m so sorry for your loss 😢 You gave her a great life.
Do not think for a second that Beatrix would have ever been in better hands than she was with you. Her circumstances be damned, she had a nice, calm few years in a place of love. Even if it was only a little, she was warming up to you despite all the prior abuse. That's incredible, really it is. We know you made the right call. Best years she could have asked for.
Her time on this earth has passed, but you did something amazing with her, Brock. You got her to experience life as close to a free Toucan as you possibly could. Because of you, she got years added to her life, years that were filled with love and care and surrounded by a flock. If it had not been for you and your willingness to not give up, she would of passed so much sooner in a cramped cage all alone and never knowing love. Her legacy will live on in your work, just as Toupac and Maeve's have.

❤❤❤ Great comment. I hope Brock sees it, remembers it and knows many of us agree. Love & blessings Heaven will be calling us soon soon, all signs are fulfilled for the church exit and the Israelites to go thru the "time of Jacob's trouble" ❤
You saved her from her previous home, gave her love and care, a big space outside with other toucans and great food. If not for you she would of been alone. She wasn't alone and was greatly loved. You did a fantastic job. Thank you so much for everything you do for the birds. What you is so important and hard, we appreciate you sharing your life and work with the birds. Im so sorry for your loss, thank you for giving her an amazing life, love, understanding and care ❤
So sorry to see this video and the heartbreak for you. I've been watching since before Beatrix joined you and been on the rollercoaster you went through saving her life. She went from a life crammed in a small box to flying around in the sunshine in the beautiful outside aviary you built, flourishing in her own unique way. She may not have had many years with you, but it was very clear they truly were the best last years for her considering her life before you found her. Sending supportive hugs from the UK.
You have gave Beatrix a beautiful and loving home. I can only imagine the hurt you feel, Brock. We’re all here for you, and it’s fully natural to be upset and torn by this. I’m so sorry to hear she passed away, though I am at peace to know she passed away gracefully, knowing that you loved her unconditionally. You’re an exceptional human, and wonderful with these toucans. The rest of the toucans are probably quite upset by this too. You’ve got this man, i believe in you. Thank you for updating us with what’s been going on, and I wish you the absolute best. ❤
Losing a beloved animal you’ve poured your heart into saving is so very hard. We’ve been through it with several rescue dogs…one in particular had been badly abused and neglected and yet was so sweet and patient with her treatments. We even took her to U Penn’s vet hospital in hope of help but she had intractable ear infections due to the neglect and severe permanent damage. We were already on the fence around quality of life. Then she developed leukemia. It’s been years but it still brings tears to my eyes. I’m so sad for you.
I am sooo sorry for your loss. You're the best bird dad anyone could ask for. ❤🥺
Your video is nearly word for word & the exact situation I've been through so many times with my chickens. Birds are tough but delicate. I'm glad you found Bea and got her into such a great home with you. You did a fantastic job with her, so sorry you and she had to go through this...sometimes all we can do for our little friends is keep them warm, safe and comforted as they go.
I'm so, so sorry Brock. No one loves these birds more than you, and you gave her the very best life that you could. And despite that feisty, bitey attitude, I'm sure she knew that you were there to help her. Sending love and condolences your way 😢❤
She has had a good life since she met you. You have loved her even when she bit you and made you bleed. Bless you and your heart.
😢my heart goes out to you and I'm sorry for your loss. But you gave her a good and loving home for the rest of her days. Keep giving these miss treated animals the best life you can and you are doing a amazing job with them❤
Huge *hugs!* You gave Beatrix the best life she could ever have! And you did the right thing. More *hugs!*
Brock you gave Beatrix the best three years of her life. We can never know what her earlier life had done to her and had how it would effect her life going forward. But no Tucan could have asked for a better life.
So sorry for your loss of beautiful Beatrix. Take comfort in knowing that you gave her a loving home, and a life filled with the delightful pleasure of having you to bite on a daily basis.
I know its been a month, but watching Beatrix, spend a good few years of her life with you, she was in the best care she could possibly have. Losing an animal you love always hits super hard. Loved Beatrix, she may have been bitey, but she had her moments with you and watching it, has been special. You did good by her and nothing can change that, she would have lived a shorter life, had she not have been with you.
She had been rescued, healed/restored, rehabilitated and had the best ever last years of life with you, so happy she at last enjoyed the taste of good-food, Freedom and Luxury in the new enclosure, and along with her finally getting close and perching on your arm and recognizing you, that this is the LEGACY she left of you saving an otherwise “unrescuable” bird This rescue program was an Incredible Success…You are Her SAVIOR ❤❤❤
I had a Raven Friend for years and even though he passed away 3 years ago i can't forget this beautiful feathery ball of fun ... seeing your pain brings back my memories of the loss as well and i feel with you. Find strength in the knowledge that your feathered friends had the best lives they ever could have. Am with you, in heart and mind.
Toupac and Beatrix were how i found your channel! saving these awesome birbs from abusive situations and giving them much better lives has done them a great service. Be delighted that you did such a good job rehabbing Beatrix and always remember the best moments ❤
You gave her a chance to really live. You gave her a life that she deserved even if it wasn't long I'm sure she appreciated being in a stable non-abusive home. As feisty as she was she was a good bird and you did the best you could by her. We are all going to be here for you when you are ready.
RIP Beatrix. Couldn't have been in better hands than yourself.
Seeing you so broken hearted and with so little sleep is tough to watch but sharing this with all of us speaks volume of your character and kind heart. I’m so so sorry
My deepest condolences Brock. You brightened up Beatrix's life, as she did yours. She will always be with you and your love will always exist and enrich the universe. I believe she stepped up on you because she wanted you to know she loved you, and is grateful for all you gave her. She passed surrounded by your love.
I'm so sorry. She was such a beautiful toucan. She didn't deserve the abuse and neglect she had before you rescued her. You gave her a few years of love and care, and I'm sure she was grateful for it.
♥️♥️♥️ Sending so much love you and the Flock.
Im so so sorry. Try to take some comfort in the fact that you gave her the best possible life she could've asked for. She was and is incredibly loved and so are you. Rescue can be so rewarding, but alas comes with this dark side. Rest in piece sweet firecracker, may you fly free evermore.
So sorry for your loss Brock, you made the right decision in the end to not let her suffer. She may have not had the best start but she had a wonderful end and despite all bites I’m sure she knew just how much she was loved by not only you but all of us watching. She was able to make friends and live in a wonderful habitat all thanks to the work you put in to helping these birds.
I am so, incredibly sorry. It never gets easier. Just remember that you did everything you could for her, the life you gave her was full of joy.
I am so sorry for what you are going through. You rescued Beatrix and gave her the best life she could have had in captivity, and let her be herself. Her story won't be forgotten ❤
You did absolutely everything you could do to make her life better. She knew, she knew what you did for her and that you love her. I am so, so sorry for your loss. Sending love and hugs 🫂 ❤️
I've watched since Ripley and I've watched you grow and care for these birds with so much compassion. You give them love even when they don't give it back. I saw Beatrix when you got her at the brink of death. I watched the colour in her beak brighten, her flying improve, and her willingly approaching you to take blueberries from your hands. She improved so much in the time you had her. You did everything you could for her, and I'm sure deep down she knew that. Take your time to grieve. It's hard everytime, especially given how much of your heart you put into each and every bird. We're grieving with you. Rest in peace Beatrix, you don't have to suffer from any pain or fear anymore.
I recently lost my Cat to fluid build downhill up in the lungs (Body fluid that is.) She was on medication for a good two months which did a lot of good but she went down hill one day. They found the fluid had hidden a Cancer that was also there when they previously did scans. Because the Vets (Although they tried very hard) were unable to stabilise her there was absolutely nothing else we could do, In the end, Beatrix may have been feisty with you. Still, she very much clearly trusted you with her care It's beyond obvious you've done everything in your power for her and more you're a good guy Brock, and she's most definitely a good bird. You made sure she passed with comfort and dignity.

Sorry for your loss
Love and light to you.
A week ago, I lost 1 of my parrots, and my dad. I was a mental wreck, still am really, for most of us our pets are our children, and anyone can see how dedicated you are to your babies. Iv been watching since gosh tupac days? long long time now. Stay strong friend. -hugs from afar-
So Sorry Brock you did what you could she had a good life for sure..prayers to you
Every day she had with you was a better day for her. I have found with pets that no matter how long or short their lives are it's never enough, no matter if it's a few months or decades, it's never enough.
I am so sorry. It never gets easier when our family gets sick ❤
I’m so damn sorry about Bea, I couldn’t imagine what you are feeling right now. You did everything you could for her. I have watched since ripley. You gave her the best rest of her life as possible. You should be so proud. I’m so sorry this happened…
I'm really sorry. This brings back memories for me. I'm fully crying. All my heart is with you and the birds
"Potentially saved" Brock. You *did* save them, Beatrix was on deaths door, so was Tupac. I haven't really messaged since he passed so I doubt you remember me at all, but you *did good.* you did the best you can. Birds are one of the hardest things to care for because by the time they show signs, it's usually too late. I've learned this the hard way with my finches and a budgie. They're not the same of course but show symptoms similarly. It's okay to be angry and disgusted with the parents of that teen who gave her a bad shot, its okay to greave, it's okay to hurt. What isn't okay is to blame yourself when you have been trying.
You are such an incredible pet parent!
I'm sharing your tears over here, Brock. My heart breaks for you and Beatrix. One thing I'm glad for, though, is you were able to show Beatrix all of your love for her and be right there with her while she passed away. She would never have let you do all of that before, and it's heartbreaking, but so sweet at the same time.
You've put so much love into that poor animal and gave her the best life she could have had after all that happend to her in the past. And you made the right decision in the end. The way you griefe shows how much you care. And I'm sure she knew it. She trusted you when she was not feeling well! Rest in peace little bird. She's now free of fear and pain. Don't feel bad for not being able to do more because you did well.
I’m so so sorry for your loss. You made an immeasurable difference to Beatrix’s life. You gave her a second chance.
When birds start to decline out of nowhere, like 90% of the time they never recover. I'm sure you know that, but you were still willing to eat a huge vet bill, to give her the most hope you could, I'm sure her spirit saw that, and knew you love her.
I recently found your channel. Being a depressed person on medication for many years it brings me a lot of laughs. except ones like this . I cried along with you on these. I have lost everything ma few times in my life. Don't feel bad or say your sorry for your grief. You gave Betrix a great life for the time you had her. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing and don't ever give up!
Situations like this are just never the best. I have no words to describe or express how I feel or how I should go about this comment, I’m just at a complete loss for words.
I'm so sorry for your loss. You gave her the best last years and she knows it. ❤
I am so sorry. Take as much time as you need. Take care of yourself. My condolences.
She knew she was safe with you. Seeing her hop up, she knew.
I'm so sorry this happened Brock. It's always sad knowing that everything we do and everything we know is still not enough so often. I hope you take care of you as well as the flock
I feel your pain please do not feel bad about crying it means you care and are man enough to show your emotions. I am so sorry for your loss your bird was very lucky to have you in her final days
I dont make much, but I'll happily give what I can, in celebration of Beatrix's life, and the care you gave for her. ❤
Sincerest condolences to you, it’s such a hard thing. And well done you for giving her the absolute best possible chance at life after other humans let her down. ❤
We love you Brock and we mourn with you. They're beautiful birds and God only knows what happen to her in the beginning of her life❤❤❤prayers to you and your flock❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh no poor girl and you gave her best life she ever had
I mean with Toupac he was elderly, so we knew he only had so much time. You made his life more comfortable and I don’t think much else could have been done. You love these animals so much and you given them the best life they could have
I am so sorry. But thank you, too, for allowing Beatrix to actually be a toucan in these last years of her life. Be kind to yourself as you grieve your beautiful girl.
The desire to be a miracle worker is strong, especially when you feel like there was a warning and you had a chance to do something, but I hope it's consolation someday that you did everything you could and that Beatrix enjoyed the best like she could, outside of that cage and with the host of disadvantages she had. I wish you and the birds the best. They may all be mischievous little raptors most of the time but, like you said, deep down they know you're their friend.
You gave Beatrix the best life you could. You made her safe, have her care, and all the love you could. You removed her from a horrid environment and gave her the best in everything you could
Brock, I'm so so sorry 😢 you are a great person to take these birds in your home and dedicate your life to them. I know it never gets any easier, but at least you were able to give her a better life for the time that she has been with you! I shed tears with you for all the losses. Keep your head up we love and support you. Prayers for you and the lovely toucans 🙏🏽
I cried with you.. Ps u are good looking, love your long hair..
I'm so sorry for your loss. Fly free sweet bird.
I feel priviledged to have witnessed her time with you. You gave her the best life possible. The love and care you gave her and your other birds is a precious thing.
I just discovered your channel within the last few days, watching your shorts, so I don't know all the history, but... you were there with her at the end. Most people who have any kind of animal don't have the courage to be in the room when the time comes. I'm not a religious person, but you are doing the lord's work. You will see Beatrix again one day - she will be waiting for you. I know this video is two months old, but here I am on Dec 26, and I'm crying with you, my man.
You're the best toucan dad ever. Thank you for sharing the life of Beatrix with us.
I appreciate how much you care about your birds. Avian vets are few and far between, and I have long held similar fears about finding help in time for my own pets in an emergency.
I'm so sorry to hear that, please don't cry anymore (rip Beatrix)😢
I am so very sorry sending you love and hugs ❤ from New Jersey❤
You gave her the best live she could have ever had. You poured so much love into her well being. You did all you could. Take care of yourself as well. You bring so much knowledge about Toucans to everyone. Lets hope in the future that more vets can take care of Toucans.
With great love comes great pain. You are an exceptional toucan caretaker. Never doubt your instincts. We love you.
I am sooo sorry Brock! I know it’s really hard. We are all here for you. God bless you in what you do for these birds. They couldn’t ask for a better caretaker and friend. Praying for you and the other birds. ❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So sorry for your loss!
SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS I! YOUR A GOOD MAN THANKYOU CARING FOR THESE ANIMALS
Just came across this video randomly and hey man, I'm so sorry. Please don't apologize for hurting in this, we completely understand. A lot of us has been through this same situation and it fucking sucks. Wish I could give a hug.
So sorry for your loss, Brock. So glad that Beatrix met you and had you to care for her. We all know that she had the best years of her life with you, and probably felt true joy for the first and only time in your care. Condolences on your loss, and thank you for sharing your, and her, journey with us all.
I'm so sorry for your loss, it;s clear you did everything you did to help her. You made the right decision she was suffering let her rest in peace where she didn't have to suffer. she might have been a bit of a brat but I bet she did truly love you deep down
My heart is breaking for you and all of us who love you and your flock. Thank you for your vulnerability and honesty. We are sending you hugs and prayers. She got to have a great life because of you!!! I wish I could take your pain away.
Brock, it doesn’t matter if we have them for 1 day or 50 years they are still someone we love!! Don’t ever apologize or worry about being embarrassed for showing your love!! You love these birds with your whole heart and more and that shows….even when she was an asshole 😘❤️ She knew you loved her, and she loved you too. Thank you for being you and giving these beautiful birds a second chance!! ❤❤❤ RIP BEAUTIFUL BEATRIX, FLY HIGH!
I just found your Chanel and cried throughout this video. The love you have for Beatrix and your other toucans is obvious.
She hears your voice, which is very, very comforting!!!!
SO SORRY YOU LOST YOUR BABY... YOU ARE AN AMAZING MAN WITH THE LOVE AND CARE YOU GIVE THESE BIRDS. THEY ARE LUCKY YOU FOUND THEM AND CARED FOR THEM. STAY STRONG. LOTS OF LOVE. SALLY MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA.❤
God be with you both, best wishes, stay strong and hang in there. Prayers to you and Tuccan❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh god, Brock, I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry. I think near the end, she wanted you to know that she understood just how unconditionally you loved her.
ou're such a fantastic owner and really don't deserve to lose a loved one
Is it her time? That is the way things are for these toucans. She's done fantastic. We'll remember her.
I’m so sorry for your loss. You gave her the best life you possibly could.
I feel so sorry seeing you being so sad about an already so touching and heartbreaking topic. We feel your sadness as we loved her. She will always be remembered as she lifes on in our memories and our hearts. ❤
Sending tons of love Brock. You are a saint for taking these birds in and giving them so much of your love. Thank you for being so honest.
Brock, you should know you were instrumental in turning this old boomer into a bird person. I started watching you and Toupac and Mæve during lockdown. This year I was handed a small flock of parakeets and they’re happily chirping away as I tap this message out. There’s a toucan sticker on my iPad case in honor of the first birds to catch my interest. So sorry the “Kill Bill” keelbill Beatrix didn’t make it. You loved her with your kind heart and your formidable knowledge and devotion. You accepted her as she was and that’s pure love. ❤️🩹 My condolences. 2023 has been a terrible year.
I am heartbroken for you and her. I watched this and cried right along. Hope she flies free over the rainbow bridge with all your Toucan buddies...❤❤
You gave her a much better life for the time she was with you, her and all your birds! It's natural to be upset, take your time, sending all the love!
