Like everything in life, nothing lasts forever I’m afraid. Good care and maintenance is needed but it won’t rust quickly

Hi there, the white powder brings back the colour of the metals after being heated :)

I wouldn't get any answer
it appears that you have had the rolling mill for a while. Are you able to tell what horsepower the motor is and what kind of reduction it gets? Thanks.

No idea Michael, it’s been in the family longer than me 🥴🥴

@@TheJewelleryWorkshop np. I picked up a 1/2 hp motor with a 50 to 100 reduction gear. That should be fine. If not I will get an air-compressor motor with a reset built-in.

Durston mills are the best though
@michaelt5082

@@TheJewelleryWorkshop I'm sure they are very good for a one box solution. Even the people at durston had to create the mill at one point or another. I was blessed with an ability that allows me to save thousands on that type of equipment due to the fact I have worked, modified, repaired and installed motors of this exact type for 25 years. Lol. I would argue that mine that are American made are the best. Lol
