In this video I make a keepsake box with rustic hickory. I fill the knots and cracks with CA glue (super glue) and color it with a powdered pigment.

Haha!! There it is.
Hey bro. I’m a beginner at woodworking. I do it as a hobby. I like your video for two reasons, you keep things simple and straight forward, and you have a likable personality. Thanks
Planning my first box for a friend that requested one and you're video is a winner for what I was looking for. Thanks for that!

it's hideous. the hickory now has shockingly blue, plastic-y splotches all over it. ugh.
I love it ! Great job 👍
You deserve way way way way more subscribers!

Beautiful box would like to see more boxes or even a jewelry hutch? Think that would be interesting as all get out! Great job and awesome play with the ca glue!
Thanks for the great video. You make it look easy!
Beautiful job, well done
Awesome build brother! Love the blue contrast to the hickory. It’s inspired me to add some accent touches like that to my next project! Keep up the good work.
I like your construction and workmanship, very nice end product. Not a fan of colored plastic fills but that’s just me. Thumbs up to everything , mikey
Great job!
That was a great idea on that box. I make lots of boxes and always looking for new ideas. Julien
Is it me, or does this guy look like he enjoys a good Pilsner. For the Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans out there

Raymond Rossiter thank you! I think KZread does need at least one more crosscut sled build. 😂
Great video brother! I am gonna give it a try.

Nice job!
Sweet box dude!
Man, I made my first box out of Baltic Birch plywood after watching your video. Definitely not as nice as yours but it provided me confident to improve on my next attempt. I also used a miter saw; however on my next attempt I use my table saw. I believe my miters will be better on the table saw. Many thanks, I'm now subscribed.
Very nice box, good expl.on the build plus the blue adds a nice touch though personally I like to leave deep cavities empty.
Loved the video. So many great looking boxes out there and ideas but so few talk the dimension of the box. I can make stuff but design and proportion can be a different story. Of course this was square but still numbers help. Thanks
Not bad for a basic box. Next time try dovetailing the corners, add a lip on the lid and mortise the hinges as they should be. Maybe put some inlay on the lid and mortise in a decorative lock.
Great video . But the rubber meets the road when you fasten the hinges. I would like to see that. Not giving you a hard time. like the channel And Thanks
Sweet box. PPE?
Nice project & video, but: Dust mask? Hearing protection? I ignored dust myself for many decades, until I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis in my 50s, and asthma at 70. Effective dut masks are cheaper than medical costs. That cut at 5:00 will be perfectly safe on a radial arm saw ... ;-)
