Love your work man. Would love to have one of your blanks too. Hybrid blanks are my favorite to turn. I have found that sealing the pores of the wood with CA and knocking it back some then hitting it with the buffing wheels produces an awesome finish that lasts a long time

That's a beautiful blank! First time I ever heard that pressure pots are dangerous... watched a lot of videos on the subject as well. I love working with resin and soon will have some Art Resin arrive and I can't wait to get started with it. :) - Heidi

Chad I like the mad scientist music while casting. They came out great. I have done a few hybrid blanks but I have not stabilized the wood. I don't do that many and can't justify the cost of the Alumilite. No issues thus far. Oh ya............................. I want the blank. JimE

I DO want the blank. Only been turning pens for 4 months. Just got vacuum chamber to start stablizing wood. Will be getting a pressure pot from HF soon. My grandson does Duck Calls and I do pens. We are trying to "up our game".......
