I bet that was fun to make. I don't think I have done enough welding to wear out a nozzle. Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.

What a cool looking piece, Great challenging project for anyone wanting a cool project to practice their welding skills. Plus it looks neat. Great coffee table piece. Pretty sure there isn't anything you couldn't master. FYI, The last minute or 2 of your video gets a bit glitchy but it doesnt take away from the project making that copper tip. Difficult task drilling such a small hole from both ends and getting them to meet up.

Hi Dave, you don't need the gas nozzle for flux core, it is only for concentrating the gas around the weld. Flux core doesn't use gas as it has the flux to protect the weld. Flux core will clog up your nozzle & ruin it. just take it off. Cheers Peter from Oz

I put nozzle gel all over it for protection. Seems to be working so far. Someday hoping to afford the gas for MIG.

@@TheMiniMachineShop I would recommend a Tig welder so that you can weld aluminum, stainless, steel. Mig is okay but you are somewhat limited to what you can weld. Combo welder that’s the way to go.

You have great skills. I too just picked the Flux core welding. I have the Chicago electric model that's AC. ITS terrible. But I was told if u have the DC version like yrs you should reverse the polarity of the clamp and nozzle. And it will work better. Ken from boston

Hi, I do have the polarities reversed as per the manual and it works great. What model did you get?
