The backlash is very interesting to see! Thanks for the video. Also 7:25 is funny to see that just one gear more can make it stop :D

Yes, the backlash is my favorite part! It's crazy! It is amazing how adding more mass and friction will cause the motor to really struggle, even just with one more gear!
I'm not sure why, but I found the simplicity of your solution to your Second Major Struggle to be rather funny.

same, i was expecting an entire building sequence and stuff to attach the beam, put he just dropped it on there 😂
Wow! That's incredible output from one small motor. Cool gear machine!

Thank you so much! It's amazing how much movement there can be from one small motor.
It’s like pennies,with 1-2 it may not be much but if you have an abundance of it,it’ll definitely worth a lot

That's a great analogy! It's crazy how a motor has no trouble turning a single gear, but then can be completely stopped by many of them. Thanks for watching @Phant0mZ 360! Did you like that backlash part? That's my favorite!

@@BrickMachines1 it sounds like a dying hippopotamus in an echo chamber! (not that I would know exactly what that sounds like...?)

I'd have to agree with you there! Though I'm also not an expert on what a dying hippopotamus in an echo chamber sounds like lol 😂 Thanks for the comment!
This is really cool, maybe I missed the explanation but why do you have to put the black pieces on top of the gears at certain points? What does that do?
@aFrInaTiOn

The gears will try to slip out upwards because of the applied forces to them
@BrickMachines1

Thank you! I could have explained it more clearly, but basically the forces put on the gears, especially at the beginning of the train, cause those gears to rise (against the force of gravity), to the point where they don't mesh with the previous gear. The pieces on top of the gears help fix this in a simple way. What was your favorite part of the experiment?

You realize there is a reason for chains right?😂
