    one part i just hate about ev3 and nxt is that you have to reset, adjust and encode those motors. in RI5, you just slap the power button and launch the program, everything will work perfectly fine and no need for reset.

  • @BrickMachinesChannel

    @BrickMachinesChannel

    2 жыл бұрын

    Wow, that would be really nice! The watchdog method is a great option for motors without absolute encoders, so it'd be sweet to have both options. Thanks for the comment!

    Yeah that's one idea I had considered! But this way it has the ability to start up from any state and just work, so it's pretty robust in that sense. Thanks for the idea!

  • @BrickMachinesChannel

    @BrickMachinesChannel

    Жыл бұрын

    Are you talking about the liftarms that move the puck, or the bumpers like you said? The bumpers are connected to a gear rack instead of a chain, and the puck liftarms are connected to chains using 3L bars

  • @pauserratgutierrez

    @pauserratgutierrez

    Жыл бұрын

    @@BrickMachinesChannel Thanks! I'm talking about the way you connected the liftarm to the small chain links. I see there's a beam and a yellow half bearing, but how is that fixed to the link? Because the chain links are difficult to connect to lego technic pieces.

  • @BrickMachinesChannel

    @BrickMachinesChannel

    Жыл бұрын

    @@pauserratgutierrez ah, got it! The chain is all part number 3711 except for the one link where the liftarm is attached. That link is a 3873, which has holes in it. A 3L bar goes through the connector attached to the liftarm and into the hole in the 3873 link. Does that make more sense?
