Idk was confused also how can you make “cold brew” with out steeping coffee overnight. But then I saw the wand inside the cup thought it was nitro infused? Either way it’s not cold brew lol title is confusing

It’s brewed cold but that doesn’t mean it’s a cold brew. The coffee is brewed with cold water so it’s cold brewed, on the other hand cold brew isn’t actually brewed, it’s infused overnight in water. So he does understand the meaning of cold brew, but you missed the point and misunderstood that cold brewed wasn’t necessary cold brew. I’m not blaming you tough just clarifying. Have a good one

@@latenightguy4738 it is impossible to remove the heating element from an espresso machine and still have it brew coffee. You are making no sense that the shot was extracted with cold water. Thats not possible. You are right that cold brew is just an infusion though

Is that being played on high speed? That shot seems to run really fast, and consequently, seems under extracted

@@satvikshah8643 he already did the review video and confirmed 20% extraction. He did note that the flow is different from a hot extraction, as the flow was fastest at the beginning and slowed down, while hot extractions start slow before peaking.

Would love to see a review on this and whether or not its worth it. Seems like it might be a bit hard to dial in grind size, but maybe its easier? Nice video!

@@ryan_n05 it isn’t cold brewed… it’s the most regular espresso (so as hot as it gets) poured over ice. In this particular case the machine is where the brewing is taking place. Please educate yourself what is a cold brew and cold brewing before making another stupid comment

@@ryan_n05 it’s not cold brew. The espresso is heated before it hits the ice. This is an “iced espresso.” Cold brew is where the water never gets heated at all and is steeped for about 20 hours.

@@hashiramasenju6058 This channel has a video on this machine. It is, in fact, cold brew. The water passing through the puck is not heated. The way it works is that the water is simultaneously drawn from the glass during the brew (through the pipe).

Cold brew is not the same as over ice lol

You obviously don’t realize the same ice water is being pulled from the glass and pushed through the coffee grinds and recirculating, hence cold brew.

@@Sprometheus Cold brew is an immersion brew that does not include brewing with hot water. The espresso was pulled from the espresso machine and poured directly over ice. It doesn't matter that it's being recirculated after it has been initially brewed hot.

they didn’t add water to the espresso shot, so it’s not an Americano. and even so the ratio has to be 3/4 water and 1/4 espresso. even if they added water to the shot (which they didn’t) it still wouldn’t be an americano because it would be 1/3 espresso and 2/3 water. they’re making a quick cold brew by brewing an espresso shot and making it cold instead of steeping it in water overtime.

@@thatssoari3533 When did I call it an Americano? There's no liquid water in the cup. It's just a shot of espresso over ice. The espresso machine itself brews the coffee first and it's pulled over ice. That's over ice, not cold brew lolol

A cold brewed coffee is brewed cold, normally in the fridge over night. In this Video is just a cold coffee/espresso.

No hot water. It's a new extraction method using vibration but he didn't seem to think the final product was worth it in the full review

I think some people compost it (so long as you don't throw the ph off too much it's good for that) but besides that it's mostly useless tbh

Cold brew is Brewed with room temperature / cold water for 12-24 hours (Immersion). I'm sure this is iced coffee (americano)

You are incorrect. Filtered water ice cubes, and the ice water in the cup is being used to brew the “espresso” hence the unusual extraction.

Wouldn't pouring hot coffee over ice melt it right away ? In Greece we make what's called Freddo espresso , in which a double shot of espresso is blended with a couple ice cubes and then served over ice cubes. This drink feels more diluted and leaning towards an americano

It's not hot coffee. It's a machine that can brew at room temperature or colder using vibration instead of heat to shear the coffee grounds against each other to extract the coffee.

Isn’t this more of a cold press than a cold brew? Maybe I’m nitpicking but a traditional cold brew is a bold but smooth, almost sweet coffee. Pulling fast espresso sounds like a recipe for a weak and acidic shot. I did look into the design of the machine a little and using cavitation intentionally seems cool because normally a pump that cavitates at normal operating conditions is a massive failure. Interesting machine, but I’ll take my cold brew in the traditional way.

You hould check greek style fredo espresso, you will love it 😉🙏

While not cold brew at all this is some quality coffee porn.

in the description it say's he's using cold water recirculation, i guess the straw is sucking up the water in the cup and that water is what's being used in the brew

In greece the most popular coffee is freddo espresso, we just pour a normal shot over ice and it's great 👍 give it a 2 second stir with you straw after pouring and it cools down right away.

that isnt cold brew. thats an just a shot of espresso over ice (iced americano). Cold Brew Coffee is an immersion brew made with cold water where the coffee brews for abput 24 hours and is never hot. (cold brewed)

Except they’re mostly right? When people discuss cold brew they’re usually referring to immersion brewing in a jug over a long period of time, coffee grounds are not being sheared in immersion brewing. It’s different from the cavitation and recirculation that this machine uses, so the brewing process and results are completely different.

👌 Folks, I read here a lot of Cold Brew comments. The video clearly has it writen in its title: 'Brewed'. The machine used is not working with hot but instead with cold water. It is a new machine and soon more and more context and trials will have more details about this new brewing procedure for the ones that don't like the oils 😁 I guess cold brewed espresso keeps the teeth brighter, the stomach calmer and the taste milder. With this machine, no need to do an overnighter of soaking. Just tamp and have the machine press cold water through it. Removing the coil of an espresso-machine basically. Or?

How not to make an iced Americano, however if this is preference then fair play to you 👏

I've heard pouring espresso directly onto ice affects the quality of the shot, I never do it when at work.

To anyone who hasn't yet realised, the water was room temperature. It's why the flow was so slow, and the puck so underextracted. Jesus the idiots in these comments.

@@gpsawyer there is no steam wand hence "steam wand" it is a water feed for the group head, it sucks up the cold water from the glass and uses it to brew the espresso with ice cold water. Water temperature is why the shot looks different to a regular shot.

The shot was pretty bag.. too watery and fast
