The first time I watched this video, my heart broke for you and your family. Now, my heart breaks with you, as I lost my little brother recently, too. He had just turned 18 and was so happy and healthy... But he went to bed one night and he never woke up again. Allow me to say how sorry I am that you had to go through that kind of tragedy, and that I completely understand the pain and devastation that comes with losing a young sibling. It has been a few weeks now and I still expect him to come walking down the hall, or I'll tiptoe around the house late at night so I don't wake him. Remembering he's gone is always like a slap in the face from reality. But what has kept me going and been a comfort to me is knowing that everything I accomplish in life will be to honor him and his love of life. I am sure Mikai is so, so proud of you Nikkie! ❤️

When someone dies young his energy body is still very lively and energetic, for those people who can see astral bodies they call it a ghost. Dogs can see ghost, sometimes they start to bark when they see a ghost. Actually we are all ghosts trapped in a physical body, but we don't call it ghost we call it soul or spirit. A human being has a body and a soul. When we die the souls leaves the body and goes to some other place. After some resting period he will be reborn in a new body. 🙏💖

My father died in May 2004 and about 4 years later we adopted our first cat Teddy who was, as we later found out, born on the exact day my dad died and was also 4 years old when we got him. I always think that my father kind of send him to us to keep us company and be by our side.

I believe it was your brother. I'd be thinking the same way, it's comforting for the grieving process. I'm so sorry for you and your family's loss. You take all the time you need girl, we love you.

I've gotten here far to late, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad he's out of pain and not suffering, though. I'm sure he fought incredibly hard. While I'm not sure what I believe, I do know my grandma has been with me since she passed. Ever since, no matter where I go, there are constantly birds (something she watched out the windows a lot after a leg amputation) sitting outside my windows. When I have complete break downs, and I sit outside, typically a blue jay will sit near me and squawk insistently. The little shits will sit there until I laugh about it, and then take off. I kind of believe it's my grandmother watching over me, letting me know I am still okay, even when things look grey.

Honestly, I’ve always not really liked my younger brother, but after watching this I realize how special the time is that we have.

i'm not a particularly spiritual person or anything. but when my sister died one thing happened that is 100% true and i cant explain it. we got into the car after the funeral and drove home. I was in the backseat and staring out the window up at the sky and noticed a white bird flying up there. i stared out the window the whole way home, which was at least a ten minute drive. and this bird was flying up there at the same speed as the car. it followed us home

I think instead of saying “ loved “ it should be “ love “ because although he passed away, she will ALWAYS love him.

It’s so hard. I lost my grandfather who raised me last year. Some of my family member said he wasn’t great but for me, he is amazing. I’m always grateful for him raising me and loving me so much.

My grandpa died in 2016 and since then, I did not cry for a long time. Like 3 years.. and it does not feel like he's gone. A few days after he passed away, I dreamed that he came back. That his death was an accident and everyone thought that he's dead, but he wasn't. So I hoped that he would come back to our house. That I could hug him one more time. 'Cause the day before he passed away, he came back from hospital and my mom told my siblings and me, that there's a surprise in the living room of our grandma. We were so excited that we ran to our grandma and as we open the door and saw that the surprise was my grandpa, I was kinda disappointed, 'cause I thought there was a pony or something. And, 'til this day, I hate my self so much that I was disappointed and didn't ran to my grandpa and hugged him. 'Cause who thought that he would die the next day? And the next day, when I went into the living room of my grandma, 'cause my mother told me my grandpa is passing away, I stood there in front of the sofa where he laid, I felt like I just saw his soul leaving his body. Then his favourite cat came into the room, jumped onto the sofa and laid down onto his chest, looking up like it watched something flying around.. And since then, it does not feel like, he's gone. I'm sorry for that long comment but I just wanted to tell the story to someone.. Nikkie, you're a strong, beautiful and loving person

When my Nana passed away, I was at summer camp. The night she went, I had an incredibly vivid dream about her hugging me and saying "I love you, mija." I woke up feeling more rested and calm than I had all week. I found out at breakfast that she had passed in the night, and I genuinely think she came to say goodbye before moving on.

I can truly understand that "It hasn't hit us yet feeling". My childhood (and adulthood) best friend past this past December. And while it's already been 6 months, there are STILL times where I don't really quite feel it, feel it. I keep thinking "Oh, he's just out of town." "He'll come back from Philly soon." I am so very sorry for your loss Nikki. You had me crying 10 seconds into this video. It really hit home. I lost my brother a few years ago because of a drunk driver. The pain of them being gone never goes away. Whoever said time heals lied! They lied lied lied!!! I'm still waiting for him to walk through the door. Just know that he is always with you. These brothers of our protected us while they were here and will continue to every day of our lives. Love you so much beautiful. Keeping you and your little brother in my thoughts and prayers ❤
