Simply Nailogical did something like that. In the video she turned the screen black and tried to follow the nail polish tutorial with only the voice over. It's a video from August 2018. If you like that kind of approach you should really check out her channel!

Honestly, it's sad to see the shift in the community. I prefer the tutorials. There's such an excess of impractical challenges and reviews. I feel like I'm not learning any ways to improve my makeup. It would be better if there was a balance of video types in the beauty community.

I feel the same way. The challenge videos are fun to watch; however, I watch makeup videos because I want to improve my own skills and techniques with makeup. I miss the days of watching Michelle Phan's old school makeup tutorials. I know that tutorials aren't for everyone, but I am disappointed to see them on the decline because they're my favorite style of video.

Please stay true to yourself and do what you love. I like your videos more when you are having fun than when you are trying to please everyone (which tbh is impossible to do). I LOVE when you do tutorials! I know there’s the pressure to “do more,” but EVERY time I watch a tutorial of yours, I feel so inspired to play with makeup. Other things are fun, but seeing you enjoy what your passionate about makes me want to be passionate about it too. Not super Halloween, but I think it would be cool to get a colored lightbulb (maybe orange for Halloween?) And do your makeup with just the colored light, when I tested it out with a dark pink bulb it was super difficult to distinguish colors and even how much product is on, so that could be fun! :) Super excited for whatever you have planned!

MAKEUP BINGO IDEA Start off by having a monster/Halloween makeup look for each position on the board (ghost, zombie, mermaid, etc) Next drawing would be like the bronze silver gold way except bronze could mean a scary look, silver is a glam look, and gold is a little of both! Then you would do normal makeup bingo BUT say you did a monster look, bronze is a color that DOES NOT MATCH (aka blue paint for a demon look), silver is a color that kind of matches (red or yellow for a pumpkin monster type look), and gold is any color you need! You could do this type of bingo drawing for all steps of the look and see what the ending monster look is and see if it looks like whatever monster type look you started out with!!
