Dylan is her soft spot. She breaks when she hugged him, she can ve vulnerable with him because she knows he is gonna be there for her. That's precious.

I work in nursing. You see this happen. Some people wait for a certain person to come before they relax enough to pass. Some people wait for people to leave so they don’t have to witness them passing on. When people are dying...they know, and many times, they hold off until something can be fulfilled.

I’ll never forget when I saw that Mikai had passed. I started sobbing; my saint of a mother immediately needed to know what was going on and began crying too. She put out her arms for a hug and through tears she said, “Please tell your friend I’m so sorry and my heart aches for their mom.” She truly was one of the most empathetic people I’ve ever known. Polly didn’t quite understand “internet friends,” but she had the biggest heart in the entire world. I’ll never meet you, but I hope you feel the love of all us that invite you into our lives on a daily basis. ♥️♥️♥️

Nikki I am so late on this, but my little brother passed two months after yours did. My brother’s was sudden, it was a car accident and he was 25. I was absolutely gut wrenched for the longest time, as we were always best friends our entire life. The one thing I made sure to do was feel everything in its entirety, every emotion, stage, and let out every cry/tear I wanted to. It was a rollercoaster to say the least, but I am glad I didn’t hold myself back from that. It’s STILL hard and it was three years ago! I love you as do many others, you have touched so many hearts with what you’ve been through. He is your guardian angel now and is so proud of you. 😇

I used to be sad about not getting goodbyes from loved ones who died. Something which helped me is the realisation that all moments are equal. The goodbye doesn't mean more than the other times you have spent with them. For the people I didn't get a goodbye with I remember our other memories which were very precious. They know how I feel about them and I know how they felt about me. A goodbye may have been nice but it was not needed.

Your feelings are as true and valid as OPs. I'm sorry for your loss and hope you will find some level of peace in the future. I'm not sure if it means anything to you to hear that from an internet stranger but your parents did a great job raising you. If you miss them that much they must have given you a lot of love and care which in turn builds a foundation for you to be able to do the same.

Thanks for sharing your story of the loss of your younger brother. As we speak my younger sister is fighting for her life in ICU. I never thought that i would be in the position to see my sister in a fragile state. She has always been such a fighter. I am dealing with this struggle with immersing myself in work and school. You help me realize to take a step back and spend the time supporting my family through this time. Once again thanks for opening my eyes. Much love.

This is so random, but that little laugh nikki does where it kinda sounds like shes choking is EXACTLY how my aunt laughs and i think of my aunt everytime i hear it. I love it so much, such a cute quirk 💞

I’m full on bawling. Watching you tell your story of your brother’s passing hits so close to home for me in some ways and just... your journey makes me look up to so much more. I think people often forget that influencers and creators are people and human too with emotions and go through things just like the rest of us. And I can relate to you so much. I really appreciate you and you sharing your life with us. I also am so thankful I stumbled across your channel in towards the end of 2018.
