Thank you!! I have been eyeballing my armor to break up the “new” look. I have been wanting to add stowage, but not get too overwhelmed. I love the idea of the bit of plastic for the front to simulate the metal added on. Excellent!!! Thank you!

Great video! I've been adding as much stowage as I can fit to my Shermans, and printing a bunch of it. I love the masking tape idea, I'd been using printer paper soaked in white glue and water and that worked good as well. I was able to mould it into some shapes.

Thank you so much buddy 🙌 the masking tape idea is so good if you want something that can take a bit of pushing and pulling. Printing is just amazing for stowage but I'm yet to commit on a printer ... soon though 😆 I'd love to see what you've done with your stowage!

Very interesting. Another way is to cut off the moulded on stowage to create a clean surface or to put your own stowage instead.

I haven't tried masking tape yet, I'll try that for tarps. I used some medical gauze on 40k scale vehicles but I found some cheap burlap-ish gift ribbon to use as netting over FoW Nashorns and halftracks to cover up the lack of crew. I tack them on with superglue then soak it in superglue till it turns hard, an Xacto can then easily cut off any loose threads or bits that hang off too much. The dollar store has some plastic (or rubber) fake moss that looks okay for foliage when superglued on, and I cut down bits of the round sprue as logs for getting them out of mud.

Masking tape is definitely a good solution for me. I've tried the old medical gauze idea but I always find it just a tad untidy or bigger than I need for this scale. I'd love to see how yours came up! Have you checked out my foliage video? Greenstuffworld make the best foliage for miniature tanks IMO! I know the moss you're talking about, it makes for great scenery items.

Looking at my company strength: Cromwell's, Sherman's, Panthers, US & German half tracks and ad hoc sections of PzIV's, Tigers, Bren Carriers, command vehicles, 25pdrs, PAK40's, 6odrs & ambulances all look as if they are straight out of the factory, some waiting for decals that are not in stock. 142 vehicles that require stowage...weathering...thankfully all 15mm.

Great idea! I'm not sure in terms of model railway sizes but 15mm miniatures are the equivalent of 1/100. You might be able to get away with some HO scale stuff but that's more like 1/87 I think.

@@paintingpanzers Well I can only think of two possibilities. Petrol, because the Tigers use a petrol engine; or water, because the heat from the motor would keep it nice and melted on the ostfront in winter. Neither are fantastic, but petrol a really bad idea..
