I just got my x8 apex pump for my ik foam pro 12 for at work. No more hand pumping anymore! I got the other items you linked but for time sakes, I had to purchase the 1x1 foam but I can make it work. Also appreciate the added bonus that I can now pump up car and bike tires now too. Appreciate the easy tutorial for a good solution.

Magnets is a great idea. Cool way to do that would be electromagnets with a power switch to turn on and off and the it comes right off.

great idea... i was looking into something like this...i just recently got the e-pro, and a regular ik + foam.. i already have a milwaukee m12, and m18 air inflator, i was thinking of using them for the + foamer, but now i have to carry an extra item, so meanwhile, i just use same pump for both sprayers, this looks better, but extra money to spend, still cheaper than picking up another battery for the IK ... thank you sir.

Believe it or not those batteries IK uses are the same ones all the cheap power tools on Amazon uses.

I have made some of these sprayers with my one devices and they are really useful to me, because I don't have garage. The velcro system of mine failed and I have the air compressor really free now and I hold it with my two hands, you don't use the other hand anyway. I don't leave it to top up and stop pumping, because I want to avoid backpressure and breaking down of the compressor due to liquid intake. I always start spraying before it tops up and I release pressure as soon as I finish.

I have done the two hand method and both of the velcro straps on the IK expensive compressor failed at the plastic buckle. Appreciate all the info!

Thanks for testing those out, I’ve been thinking of getting a compressor for the new multi pro 12+. I’m planning to use it for rinseless washes, I have been using a Bauer handheld compressor for my foam pro 12 and I just need to fill it once for most of my uses. I’m just not sure on a bike compressor or the IK one. Do you notice a difference in the strength of pressure at all? I read that the IK goes up to 2.5 bar/36 psi, I like the automatic feature of the IK but if the bike pump is just 1 press and has a stronger output then I think that’s the better option.

The IK for sure maxes out way below the potential of the tank. The auto feature is what makes it worth it. The nice inflators and compressors make it run at a much higher pressure and it performs so much better at that higher range.

I just bought the Ik compressor the other day anyways cause it was on sale, I think the auto feature would be great for the multi pro 12+ cause I have full size truck and don’t want to fill it up with air more than once. Appreciate the feedback!

Great idea for the IK Foam Pro 2 Plus. Instead of velcro, there is a 3d printed bracket/holster on Maker World. Also adding a quick connect allows fast install between sprayers.

Sounds like a great idea and I have heard there is a 3d bracket. Problem is there are really good cheaper battery power sprayers now and IK is coming out with their own later this year. Still a great idea if you have an existing IK Pro 2+

@@CarsWithKeav Hoping you do a review of these new battery powered sprayers. I really like my IK Foam Pro 2 + sprayers but they are quite expensive so if there's a decent quality electric sprayer on the horizon, that would be awesome.

Yes, you can spray rinseless wash in them gives a little more suds to help with cleaning. I use DIY Detail rinseless wash as a pre-wash sometimes and it sprays on real nice. You can control how wet or foamy it is with just the dilution.

Any good alternatives to the Fanttik X8 (for the pro 2 plus)? The Fanttik X8 seems to have been replaced with the X9 Pro However i liked the fact that the Fanttik has this auto-refill function and does not require having to manually press the refill button every few seconds. Are there any alternative air pumps you are aware of that have an auto-fill function like the Fanttik X8 shown in the video?

I’m have not really tried any others. They sent me the X8 apex so didn’t need to purchase one for the big IK. I picked the X8 for the smaller IK because it had better dimensions for the setup that the X9. They are still selling both X8. I hear the X9 is very good though.

@@CarsWithKeav the X9 seems like a really high quality air pump for sure, its just really pricy in my case (its a little bit above my import tax free laws so in total with shipping its almost 125$) Which is a little too much for what it is

Great video as always Keav, quick question….I already have an IK Pro Foam 12 and a Multi Pro 12+ that I use with the Fanttik X8 Apex…both work great, I also have the little 2+ foamer like you in the video. Knowing what you know now would you say it is worth it to get the small X8 to pair with it or would you go for one of those battery foamers that you have on your channel? If so, which one? Thanks in advance!

If money was no object I would always go with an inflator style IK. Of course they are coming out with their open battery foamer coming out later this year as well. This setup is going to be more durable and spray better than the battery foamers from Amazon. Check out Etsy as well people selling 3D printed brackets to hold the Fanttik inflators. If not for sale they are giving out the files so you can 3D print your own.

@@CarsWithKeav Thanks, it also doesn’t help that I can’t get off my mind how cool the little 2+ ooks with the X8 😂. What I realized is that I can use the X8 for the 12 Multipro + too as the non foaming sprayers don’t require as much air while running so I think it might be able to keep up….good excuse to buy it right? 😂😂 Anyways, is there any link with the info on the upcoming IK sprayers? Thanks!

What is the maximum pressure I can pump into this foamer? How much should I set on the compressor?

Small IK Foam Pro 2+ the relief valve kicks off around 50 to 52 PSI. The larger IK Foam Pro 12 kicks off around 57 to 58 PSI. I’ve pushed at 100 PSI rate before out of my compressor the relief valve will pop off. Better to set compressor around 60 PSI.

X8 is more than enough. I chose it over the X9 as it’s dimensions fit better. The X9 is much taller and X8 is wider.

Everything is in the description. Would have to purchase multiple products and put it all together. The IK, the Velcro straps, the foam and the inflator. No way to buy them as one product. All available on Amazon.

Find me one that has an auto start as I could not find one. The IK e foamer one is the only one I know of that is small enough to use for this setup, but can’t be used for other things as you don’t know the PSI or can change them.
