From having Buddy the Elf last year, Asda knew that they would have make another good one this year to maintain the standards, And by bringing in Michael Buble, they have managed to pull off another great advert. Well done Asda

Nice and simple, it has the Christmas spirit whilst not making it emotional. It feels nostalgic and sentimental in a warm and happy way!

Nice to see my friend make a cameo at the end

This advert does right all the things that the M&S advert does wrong. Well played, ASDA. Now I want a cheese board.

There is nothing wrong with the M&S advert. Absolutely blown out of proportion by people who are void of humor. It’s fun way of saying do what makes you happy at Christmas (making costumes, baking etc) and don’t feel pressure / anxious about doing stuff you don’t want to do. Some people love writing cards, others don’t. Some people like playing games, some don’t. I don’t get the hate, people are seeing something that isn’t there.

Asda has done a Christmas and right. Marks and Spencer really dropped the ball by disrespecting Christmas by not even mentioning the word Christmas in their ad

That ends with a negative; if M&S asks you NOT to buy their stuff, why then go to that store anyway? If the commercial had inverted the message, as in: "we know that Christmas time can be stressful, so don't play on the chess board if you don't want to, but just enjoy our quality cheese board!", it would end on a more positive note. Aside from that: ASDA's cheese looks marvelous, I must say! 😊

Smashed it out of the park Asda !!! Now that’s how it’s done , no virtue signalling, no judgement, no woke nonsense. Just a good all round Christmas advert that does the heart good. Thank you 🙏.
