Always love your videos! ... While this video was as helpful as usual, I recently purchased a few Micro Jig Matchfit dovetail clamps and was able to make a pair of blocks in seconds! Thanks for the idea! .. For anyone who hasn't seen those clamps and al they can do, i highly recommend them and an very impressed with how solid they are for a small clamp!

Great way to make stops! An idea I had to keep the bolts from wearing on the fence (or if someone had to use threaded rod), just slip a length of drinking straw over the bolts. Thanks for sharing all those good ideas.

I know this is a year old but never thought of something like this. Thanks Colin. If you want to overdo it, you could add aluminum or brass hobby stock tubing to slip over the threads so the top edge of the fence doesn't get scratched. OCD can make things look really cool even if they don't function any better. :D

Had a thought if you took another board that is taller than the fence (say 12" to 18") and put dowels in it on two sides and holes in the clamps to match you might be able to use it to make dato cuts in in of boards. Make a great addition to the clamps!

Great little jig for the stop cuts on the TS, as it is much less intrusive than the typical wood block and clamp makeshift alternative. I will make one for my saw soon. One of them can also be used (singularly) as an auxiliary fence stop block for use with a cross cut sled or miter gauge cross cuts. I also noticed the cool little jig on the Drill Press with a Mag loc? holding an adjustable fence. THAT is really cool . Do you have an article or video on that item, as well? Thanks, as usual for the great tips.

For the anti-slip material on the blocks, you may want to try UHM tape, UHM meaning ultra high molecular. I used it to repair a squawk noise that came from the interaction between the front anti-roll bar and the mounting bushings on N body GM vehicles before GM came out with bushings made with a different compound. I recently found out that UHM products are available retail, although they're called UHMW now, with the W for weight. The product I used had a GM part number so I ordered it as needed through the parts department. The adhesive was pretty sticky and it adhered to the rubber bushings OK, but it was being installed in a captured environment, so there was little chance that it would come out. I don't remember if the adhesive would be sticky enough for your application without additional adhesive, but the retail products may have different adhesive qualities. There's only one way to find out though, buy some and try it out.
