Saw Stop must love this product.

This is a great jig. The adjustment mentioned at 7:00 is key as I've never nailed a perfect fit after the initial setup and always need to make this micro adjustment.

You're absolutely right! I have yet to see a box joint jig that gives you a perfect fit every time after just the initial adjustment. But the difference with the Incra I-Box is that making those micro adjustments is a LOT easier.

Thank you, I just received my new Incra I-Box and will be hopefully setting it up this weekend. Your video is very helpful. I've seen comments on other sites that this was too complicated to setup and use, but I really don't think they read the instructions, like you recommend. I've watched a few videos now and will read over the instructions again before setting this up. Thank you for a great video!

Are the metal parts of the jig far enough from the blade of your Saw Stop or do you have to use the override key to keep from tripping the brake? I'm pretty new to woodworking but I did buy a Saw Stop. I think box joints are a really great way to make corner joints. And the Incra I-Box looks like a good way to make the joints.

Great question! The metal parts of the jig are adjustable and when the jig is properly set up, the metal parts won't be touching the blade. But you do have to double-check this when adjusting the jig as it is possible for the metal parts to contact the jig if not adjusted correctly. We used the jig on a SawStop in this video and had no issues.

Just one question: Can non-dado (i.e. single-blade) cuts be made with this for slots/fingers thicker than 1/8"? After viewing your video - which was excellent - I'm think that a dado will be required for cuts over 1/8'; or does the jig provide a method for this?

Yes, you would need a dado blade or a box joint cutter blade to cut fingers over 1/8". Or you could use it on a router table if that's an option.

Following the instructions in the manual for this is worse than if they were written in Hieroglyphic's, i burned thru all the scrap i had and more and never got an acceptable box joint. I wish I had never bought it. Tried both the router table and the table saw methods. no luck. Nothing ever came out like the showroom advertisements.

Learning how to use this tool requires patience, persistence and attention to detail. I've had mine for several years now and it works extremely well. It did, however, take some time to get the setup steps consistently in the proper order. I'd suggest finding someone who has one and has used it successfully. They'll likely exposed where your missing something. Once dialed in, it's a fantastic tool.
