Damn not even a minute in and Manly drops one of the darkest jokes he can casually. That joke also guessed the plot before the 2 minute mark

Pretty strong demo, I love the art here. It's adorable right up until it isn't and that works quite well for it. Even if the protagonist was a good person at first, she most definitely isn't one anymore.

Morality between species is iffy. Who could fault a carnivore for it's life of habitual predation? Besides, the rabbits are already monsters. By plucking the flowers of life, their true forms are revealed. The rabbit monsters in boxes are the excess rabbits for which there were not enough flowers of life to convert. There is clearly a food shortage issue for the sole guardian of the flowers of life to be left to starve for a week at his post. Frankly, it's an apocalyptic scene all around. Lisa is no saint, but harvesting the rabbit meat before it zombifies is a crime necessitated by the zombuns' bloodlust.

Hadn't felt this unnerved by a playthrough in a while... Really, there's nothing like a good cute-creepy combo with hidden implications! Thank you Manly for harvesting these games for us like so many gross, blood-spraying flowers. There's several things in there that seem to have had a lot of polish and make me enthusiastic about a full release, but dang the sound design in particular is out of this world. From the dull _clank_ of doors to the harsh _clack_ of keys being used to the revolting chunkiness of all of the fleshy noises, I feel like sounds bring a lot to this game's atmosphere and do much to keep the player on edge... Geat job, devs.

First Manly says that “everything goes fine and nothing bad happen” and then a few seconds later you hear “so this is a horror game~”. How can somebody not love this Man… -ly.

There's never enough magic inside to bring Eds mom back.

My theory about this game: >Part 1, "Eldritch Beginnings" At first, humans ruled over the world as they do in our world, until the prey started mutating and evolving into these eldritch beings, and learning too, and, well, I'm assuming their predators also evolved to continue hunting the bunnies. Then, humans genetically modified a species of fungus, and it looks like a red flower, but it still releases these spores which infect bunnies as well as foxes, thus weakening them into humanoids which co-exist with eachother. In order for this to work, the fungi also has to remove quite a bit of their brain's functions, which is why we see humans being so dumb they're just glorified parrots that are more related to apes than dinosaurs. >Part 2, "Advanced Society" Years later, when the bunnies and foxes have developed their own culture based off of how humans once lived, Lisa was born, and adopted by Alice. Alice taught Lisa to do many things, similar to how humans train dogs, except Lisa's brain learned so much, it eventually became immune to the fungal spores and she was a normal human again. Lisa and Alice eventually became best friends rather than owner and pet. Things were going well, until Alice died from a bear-trap incident. That's when Lisa, who was devastated, started mourning the death of her best friend. Until she found out about the human race's ancient powers, that were forgotten about centuries before humans even had castles. >Part 3, "Ancient Revival" Apparently, the genetically modified "flowers" were actually commonly used in healing potions by tribes who worshiped ancient lovecraftian/eldritch gods, aka Cthulhu and their colleagues. Surprisingly, the fungi actually got better at its healing power when it was genetically modified into the "flowers". When Lisa discovered this, she started planning what she will do. First, she had Alice's body cremated, so it was easier to heal her. Then, she taught herself how to collect mana so she can use the magical doors that were recently invented by the bunnies. And then that's when what we see as the game starts up, and then we choose our language before taking the perspective of the now insane Lisa. >Part 4, "After the Demo" I'm assuming once Lisa revives Alice, Alice remembers that she died, and Lisa explains how she revived Alice. Then Alice becomes the final boss because there are literally no more "flowers" in the entirety of Korea anymore. I don't know what else could possibly happen other than Cthulhu awakening and patting Lisa on the head for being so good at bringing back eldritch abominations, so that's basically it for my theory. I hope y'all like it, and I'll like to see you try and debunk me. edit: there's an edit now

So from what I see is that the bunnies are more human like then the humans, kind of a strange concept but but a cool one!

Considering that the life flowers seem to be responsible for maintaining the buns' rabbit forms, the buns are probably dead monsters already. You aren't killing them, they are all just animated corpses. You are "reappropriating" their meat to a greater cause: your continued survival.

Thank you Manly, for teaching me not to trust people when they say nothing will go wrong :3

Yes... "unintentionally".. You know humans normally do not believe that either when I tell them I ate someone by accident.. But they tend to act a bit strange around my tentacles anyway so it does not matter much.

Eep. Doesn't the "Flower of Life" remind you of that red flower in "UKTENA 64"? Something tells me nothing good is going to come out of this. 😶

Firstly, this game has some great atmosphere, smooth animations and wonderful art style. I like the feel of the engine too, you can chuck hammers but you can't kill yourself with them. Relieving, because physics games never play nice. The lore greatly interests me. Humans appear to have stunted intelligence but bunnies can still talk with them. They appear to be looked after like pets, or at least just Lisa does. But that animals seem to fill human roles in this world leaves me to believe this is the natural order of things. Which brings us to the question of what made Lisa become smarter... Lastly, the horror element is top notch. We've only seen a little of what this game has in store but I am loving this.

This is like a twisted version of Animal Crossing!

The sound design in this is great. Very satisfying crunchy sounds

The camera and character movement reminded me of "search party"

I'm starting to think that instead of giving life, the Flower of Life currupts it. That's why when you pluck them and release their juices, the land gets currupted and the bunnies turn into various monstrosities. Lisa probably ate a flower and got currupted, becoming a "mad" human. The bunnies tried to catch her but killed Alice instead. It's important to note that the encyclopedia states that a new life will be born in the dough of bones and juice, but it did not specify what type of life.

Thank you for this, that's a pretty interesting vein you're following (especially considering that we see that Lisa already attempted to eat one)... I'm definitely with you on the encyclopedia; one can assume that anything starting with "the dough of bones and juice" won't end in sunshine and rainbows. The Flowers of Life could also be double-edged swords: purveyors of life when growing undisturbed (hence why they grow directly in the village and people seem chill around them) and bringers of corruption while disrupted/harmed. Using them in an "unnatural" way, to revive the dead for instance, would result in disaster, but them "naturally" infusing life to the land is seen as harmless. I like the look of your past timeline, in any case!
