I love the depth you go into on this one. It's really frustrating when people make educational content and then lightly skim over the difficult part you're actually interested in.
Great content and production value Tito! Really awesome and deepdiving set of series you are running. Do you have any tips on preventing bokeh vignetting (cut off bokeh balls) when using discs? I am now trying to use slightly less than full vertical height for the oval shape, which seems to help. But no idea on what would be a safe margin.

Thank you, Tim! Excellent question. It seems to change lens to lens, I've been trying 15% smaller ovals than full height, on the Sirui lenses I went 20% smaller to really improve that, and it means cutting a lot of light. :(
Hi! I'm an "old", Italian, analogic photographer and I love this stuff and your beautiful channel! I got a question for you: I have an old Nikon 50 mm - f 1.8 and I use it on my Fujifilm X-A7 with an adapter ring. Do you think I can do modding this 50 mm lens in the same "anamorphic" way? And if so, does it worth the job? Thank's very much for your job! 🙏
Love your videos! I thought of getting the helios 44 2, but what is the size disc sizes that I can use to make the 2x squeeze disc?
I tried this but the lens somehow lost its contrast. Everything looks washed out.

Incrível Tito! já encomendei minha lens wrench, já tinha desmontado minha olympus 35 2.8 pra declick mas quero colocar o oval inlay agora e também na vivitar 28mm f2.5 que tenho, pra Portugal deve demorar os inlays do canada e também é possível cobrarem alfandega né? to pensando em encontrar onde faça corte a laser 🧐

Corte a laser resolve. Eu mando por carta comum, sem declarar. Nao tive nenhum comprador ainda que tenha pago imposto nos discos. :)

Yes, and you can see the results better at close focus, when the background actually blurs.

@@AnamorphicOnABudget Awesome! I’ve seen listings for matte box based anamorfakes which state the effect doesn’t work on wides. Was really hoping since the inserts are at the rear it would work!

Up to 10:07, contax zeiss - the last shot is the fireworks shot. Then Rokinons, starting on the wide one with the tree.
I wonder if cats or reptiles sees as anamorphically with that shape
