Make a Wood Spoon

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I will show you how to make a wood spoon. Using hardwood off cuts from Walnut and Sapele, this woodworking project is one that most woodworkers can make in just a few hours.
As you will see with this woodworking project, no two wooden spoon have to look exactly alike, in fact its the imperfections that lend themselves to highlight the handmade aspect of the build - Enjoy!

All those power tools to carve a spoon Jon - what next - a CNC laser cutter and milling machine? But seriously, I do enjoy your videos and this one is as good as all your others - keep them coming.

Pretty experienced with carpentry. Took up carving about 6 months ago and I’m terrible at it. Was doing everything by hand (hatchet, carving knives, etc.). Just picked up the ball gouge and mini turbo plane kit last week. Gonna practice with the tools today. Some day I’ll be as good as you!!!

Hello, I have a question about the sanding process, do you think sanding paper is perfectly safe for utensil making? I am trying to make a cutting board with solidwood, but I do hesitate to use sanding paper to smooth it. I worry that the particles and the glue will get into the wood and eventually leach into the food. Could you please suggest? Thank you!
