You should have put a piece of cardboard in between the two boards to simulate the thickness of the roti while drilling holes for the hinges. That way you can make a roti of even size when pressed.

En el estado de Oaxaca este instrumento se utiliza hace alrededor de un siglo, es del doble de tamaño y se usa para hacer las tortillas, las famosas clayudas (no tlayudas), esta palabra no significa nada, la otra significa "correoso", que no se puede romper fácilmente. Se llama "tortilladora". Se puede decir que éste instrumento es un plagio del oaxaqueño. Saludos.

Una sugerencias desde México No dejes totalmente pegadas las tablas, porque cuando aprietes tu masa se va adelgazar más de lado de las bisagras, antes de atornillar del lado de las bisagras mete algo para que levanten las dos tablas y les de un grosor mínimo aproximadamente del grueso de un palo de Banderilla qué se aproximadamente 2 a 3 mm

Holaa, yo la hice así como tú dices, con esa separación entre las placas, pero no se estiran mucho, quedan chiquitas y más gruesas. Será que necesita más presión o cambiar el punto de presión? O qué será? Soy chilena y tengo muchas ganas de hacer tortillas 🤤

@@lilianaarellano1307 Lo que pasa es que mi familia emigró del Estado de Zacatecas al de Tamaulipas cuando yo tenía 2 años. Mi madre traía consigo artículos de uso común de allá y por eso ví esas tortilleras. Acá en la frontera había otras. Eran pequeñas y de hierro.

etwas off topic: na ja.... ganz perfekt ist das Teil erst, wenn beim Bau ein gleichmäßiger Abstand zwischen den Brettern eingehalten wird. Ich habe das Teil nachgebaut und vor Montage der Scharniere zwischen die Bretter im Bereich der Scharniere Unterlegscheiben platziert. Das Querbrett, dessen Montage unterschlagen worden ist (ist doch nicht etwa nur verklebt?) habe ich von unten angeschraubt und die Schraubenköpfe in der Stärke der Beilagscheiben überstehen lassen, so dass ich den gleichmäßigen Abstand erzielt habe. Übrigens habe ich das Brett, auf dem die Halter für den Hebel montiert sind, nicht von oben, sondern von unten angeschraubt, so dass keine Schrauben sichtbar sind, außer der Schraube, die den Hebel hält und die Schrauben an den Scharnieren. Die Hülse im Hartholzhebel ist auch überflüssig, ebenso das Geschmiere mit einem Sekundenkleber (oder Öl?). Ich habe einfach links und rechts des Hebels Beilagschrauben verwendet. Für meine Teigpresse habe ich eine Buchenholz-Leimholzplatte 800x300x18 mm vollständig verbaut und als Griff ein Hartholz aus einem vormaligen Lastenrost verwendet. Übrigens ist es ein grober Unfug, eine solche Presse mit Farbe zu versehen. Ich habe meine Presse mit Sonnenblumenöl eingeölt.

Una pequeña observación. Tu máquina no está bien centrada para hacer su trabajo. Cuando la uses lo que aplaste de un lado va a aplanar más que del otro lado para evitar eso. Tienes que poner en las 4 esquinas 4 monedas de esa forma tu máquina será perfecta. Como ninguna otra

I found 2 mdf boards in the disposal, 24.5 cm x 24.5 cm, 20 mm thick and made one with the two identical boards! On the base plate I placed 2 rectangular feet measuring 14 cm long and 15 mm high made of solid wood, and on one side of these feet I screwed 2 pine bases, drilled the holes and placed a solid wood slat as a lever! I joined the 2 plates together and placed a thin plastic layer between the 2 plates to mark the hinges! When I tested with 40-gram balls of dough, even though I pressed the lever a lot, the dough was barely crushed and expanded, it didn't exceed 8-9 cm in diameter! Looking in detail at the open press, I noticed that the upper (movable) plate is an absurd 4 mm below the level of the lower (fixed) plate. Could this be the reason for the problem? Friend, analyzing the situation again I saw that the tortillas that had a small diameter of 8-9cm were thick, exactly with this difference reported above 4 mm! Could this be the cause of the problem?
