I'm only 3 mins in and it challenging alright!. I'm a bit less than a rookie but so far with lot of pausing i feel like i can get it over a few days or so, hopefully.

I just finished this tutorial. If anyone who is interested in recreating what this artist did should have advanced knowledge of handling the interface and hardsurface modeling. In this way you can follow the steps without problems. It will not be enough just to reduce the speed of the video. On the other hand, I want to thank you friend for sharing your knowledge, they helped me a lot and I was able to finish the model without problem.

yes you are right ....i just found this and tried to start it but no way ..because he moving fast and also speaks things that i dont know where they located in my blender (wich this version of 2022 if even diffrent of the one he usses in this video ...buttons and stuff are not in same spot of interface ...:)))))) is hard to folow if starter like me ....) mabe should play more with the interface before starting this one ....some beginners tutorials ... anyway you right :D :))

if i want my blade thickness to get gradually smaller, i just scale down one end of the cube before i make any loop cuts, saves a lot of time

when I merge faces for the blade "at center" it goes to the blade center instead of making a sharp blade

You need to merge verts at center. Hence select verts then press M and select option "merge at center".

you might be in face or edge select mode. Switch it to vertex select mode with pressing ''1'' in edit mode

Too fast to even understand what you are doing and what is happening. The model looks mad tho. Good model.

I will try to explain modeling process in better way so beginners can also understand. Press X key to delete face and press Ctrl+X to dissolve face. Same thing is applicable for verts and edges.

For a beginner that doesn't know all of the shortcut keys, I would say the delete key is you best option as it will prompt you with a menu of all of the deletion methods for what you have selected.

when i press x it only shows delete nothing else

please take out the tutorial from your video your moving like flash

Blade origin and curve origin should be at one point. Move the blade along Y-axis if x-axis is in curve modifier. Try different axis or scale the blade size.

He is selecting the edges and pressing F to create face between the edges.

Merge works on the verts of whatever you have selected. Whether that be two random verts, all the verts in a line, or all the verts that make up a face. I would suggest going into vert select mode and making sure you don't have any random verts selected before merging.
