Thanks for everything you share with us😊. You forgot Contract Law at Harvard. I wish you knew it was also one of the free courses offered at Harvard so that brought could speak more about it. I was thinking of taking it, but I didn't know what route to take or how to monetize it.

I would like to correct you on your video. You said that all of these courses are free and get accreditation, but that is not true. Technically, it is free if you want to "audit" the class but to get the full verification or completion of the class you have to pay a fee, and it is roughly near or about $120 for most of it. So, be careful when you say free.

For anyone complaining that the course is not free and that you have to pay 100-150 dollars for a HARVARD Certification!! That's mental. Just get that 150 dollars from cleaning toilets, if you have to, and then you'll get your certification.

Lol, so yeah, that's more so you can post it up at home and show you got Harvard certification. Plus $150+ for a nice Harvard printed with stamp and all isn't bad at all. 👍lol

I am starting data science. I was under the impression I could go be making money in 6-9 months. It is a start but it really will take 1 - 2 years at least. Just to start. 20hrs/ week. It takes time to practice the skills to give you the abilities.

that is true. but that does not mean you need to wait 2 years to start monetizing. You can always apply to entry level jobs in data science and get paid to practice

Actual data science is incredibly saturated at the moment. You would be competing against people with Bachelor's degrees and 7+ years experience or Masters and 5+ yrs experience. We don't even see the resumes of people without that experience. As she said, your best bet is to gain the skills, continue your education, and get a more entry-level job. If you have zero tech experience, most people start in IT Help Desk to get a foundational understanding (and, let's be honest, get it on the resume). A short stint here can get you a job as a data analyst, adn you can work up the company from there (this is the easiest path). I suggest you look for analyst jobs in Finance, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, big data, etc. Even with saturation and AI, these particular sectors will have more of a need for data scientists than others. Hope this helped!

I have no background in Computer Science/ Data stuffs but I enrolled in Data Analytics Basic for Everyone....then will look for another courses after this to grow more. 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for your instruction. May I ask which website is the most trustful and credible Harvard education course? I've seen some scammed website for providing this course before.

Going any of these roads is not a piece of cake. In order to survive the competition these days it needs a lot of hard work. Those cources will give just a brief taste just to know what it is so you can jump into. Bootcamps are much more appriciated nowdays along with Guithub portfolios to show that you actually now what you claim. Nice for career changers though.👌

Sharing the knowledge about the free courses available at Harvard is great and informative but you are misleading people by saying they can acquire skills and become specialists from taking these courses. Taking the free courses on computer science and game development will NOT give you the skill required to work in those fields.

So what would you do if the person wanting to hire you, says show me you took hardvard classes which is usualy one of the basic asks? Because you only get a certificate or grades by paying them a few hundred dollars. To learn its great, But if your doing it for the sake of hardvard its going to be more trouble than its worth. Because its all temperary except what you learn if you learn anything most of it is basic information that can be youtubed. Its interesting for sure.

These courses are introductiry level. I do not think you can land a job with that course. You have to learn beyond these courses. However, you can have a basic understanding of each this field.

If you notice on Harvard's website, is that some of the disciplines such as "data scientist" for example, offer a paid certification course that allows a graduate to seek employment in that field. Of course, anyone who just completed an education in whatever field is going to start as an entry level employee, no matter where they graduated from.

Omgosh. Someone who is smart actually does exist on the internet. Using the scam pipeline to deliver real info. Shocking. The only i would add is letting people know just how much work and commitment these things take. You can't just take a free course and be able to get a 100k salary.

Honestly, I am university graduate and had several change of jobs and in no one they asked for my documentation but I was hard tested in every one. Your skills matter not certifications. Whatever you put on your resume will be testes so how does the paper matter.

First of all, if You didn’t get a certificate, you cant mention it in your CV - and this it the main goal, as i get from the video. Second, if you still mention it in the CV or fake the certificate, and later they will figure it out - you’ll have problems. Yes , you’re right, skills are matter, not papers - this works if you *already* hired. But to be hired, you need to show papers

Well, isn't this just a wonderful idea. Someone with absolutely no knowledge of computer science thinks they can enroll in a basic course and snag a job in cyber security. Why not aim for the moon while you're at it? I'm sure it's totally feasible for a person with no prior experience to become an expert in just a few months and become a top candidate for a highly specialized field. Good luck with that.😂😂🤣

Look, I think your videos are great and everything. But you could say all that you need to say in five or six minutes. I really do not need to be given a list of people who have studied at Harvard. Can you please only create content which is relevant to what you have to say. I'm having to sit through this knowing that more than half of it is irrelevant. When your subscribers are given a video to watch they are essentially a captive audience. They are at the mercy of what you decide to include in the video. People don't like having their time wasted with irrelevant twaddle, so please bear that in mind when making your videos. And give people a break. Please.

Nevertheless, having said all that, your videos ARE certainly terrific value as well as being inspiring. Clearly there is a lot of value in these courses which are nevertheless free! So thank you for pointing this out to people. I for one certainly would not have known anything about these free Harvardx courses.
