Major Payne | Biker Fight Scene

Ойын-сауық

Cadet Alex Stone (Steven Martini) sets Major Benson Payne (Damon Wayans) up to fight an intimidating biker (Bam Bam Bigelow) to get him to leave their military school. Unfortunately for Alex, Major Payne is much tougher than he looks and ends up beating the biker to a pulp. To get his squad back in line after their major infringement, Payne sends them out on a mission to steal a trophy from their competition as a peace offering.

Damon Wayans stars in this hilarious escapade Major Payne. When peace breaks out in America, killing machine Major Benson Winifred Payne, United States Marine Corps Special Forces (Wayans), is given his marching orders... to the unemployment line. Unable to cope with civilian life, Payne is thrust back into the military regimen as commander of the Madison Academy Junior ROTC. How does the military's most dangerous secret weapon discipline a few good men when none of them is even old enough to shave? Any way he wants! At least until Dr. Emily Walburn, school counselor (Karen Parsons), joins his tour of duty. Armed with the comic genius of Damon Wayans and stockpiled with humor, "Major Payne orders up the laughs." Damon's acting isn't talked about enough in this movie. His ability to mix the sillyness and jokes with intimate moments where he potrays Payne's love and pride for his young troops is what makes this such a classic.

    As a Marine, this (along with Full Metal Jacket) is probably one of the most accurate depictions of Marine Corps Drill Instructors I have ever seen. Most of them are very funny but are true hard chargers about the Corps and serving in the military. I wish they would do a part 2!

    One of the best scenes in comedy ever! I love how Stone is willing to take the punishment for the whole squad and is the guy everyone naturally turns to when the chips are down, so these reasons are why Major Payne decides to make him squad leader instead of Dotson. Plus, when we see that Dotson just shouts at the cadets and is always trying to please the superior officer (up until the dress punishment), it is clear that Dotson is no true leader.

    2:35 - Something that some people might miss: Payne is a trained military soldier. In war he has permission to use whatever means necessary to achieve his objective; such as striking enemy soldiers, killing enemy soldiers, etc. But here he's up against a civilian, so the rules are different. He cannot use physical force, except as a means of self-defence. So when he insults Bam Bam Bigelo the Biker, he gets the exact result he was hoping for, which is why he seems happier afterwards. He now is legally allowed to strike back. 6:09 - And as you find out later on, Stone can stand before even someone like Payne, and be completely unafraid of receiving physical abuse. But then of course, even after all the bad-ass shit you've seen Payne do throughout the movie. Even the stuff that could be considered downright sadistic; he's still unwilling to hit a child.

  • @Shanethefilmmaker

    @Shanethefilmmaker

    7 ай бұрын

    Another thing they miss. While he's most likely not one. A lot of Bikers are former military. Hell's Angels started out as former WWII Pilots. So needless to say Stone would have had to find one that didn't serve because the others would have said no. Not just out of respect for the military, but a lot of them at this point are 'Nam Vets, they probably served along side Payne personally in the war while he was serving or at least know him and his batshit reputation. While Bikers are tough MFs, even they know better than to mess with Payne without cause.

He still treated it like they were law rather than just his Peeves and they were still in country rather than on fobs in a shooting war. that same CO got busted for being a chomo and for a bunch of other scummy stuff. My drill sergeant was actually pretty quiet. However, I do believe he carried a pocket dictionary because the words he used DID instill fear and respect and we learned how to be soldiers.
