That's pretty awesome! I've had a couple of people in the last week asking me what I thought of the new Outrun 2006 patches (which I was blissfully unaware of). I'll have to get on to giving these a try.

Love this! Been playing the absolute **** out of this emoose patch since I first heard of it over the weekend. Some have said this runs great on Steam Deck as well.

Beautiful game

For me, with these recent updates/hacks, the PC version is now on par (or even better) than the Teknoparrot arcade version. It is like night and day compared to the original PC release. I used the FXT mod before. I play with a pad, but hope better wheel support will be implemented in future updates of this fix. That's the only thing that's not as good as Teknoparrot/FXT.

Wholly unaware of these fan patches for the PC port. I may have to get a hold of it as so far I've only played psp Outrun 2 and I don't like the controls on the psp (far too small) The music swapping sounds awesome to me mostly though. Good stuff Dan.

Got both Outrun 2 and Coast to Coast on the Xbox. But with my crt broken it loses much of it's visual flare on the old platforms when blown up onto a hdtv. However with Insignia the online servers for the OG Xbox versions of both games are back online and a 60fps presentation makes it still a great way to play the game. I may grab the pc copy though to enjoy a HD version of the game.

Wish I could buy this game.

I have it downloaded on PC just have to get it running!

I wanted to ask the same thing. The only thing that keeps it from being THE best version IMO, is if it's missing the scud race and Daytona 2 tracks that was found in the original 2006 Xbox version.

Where do we find the new patch? Is it running on a win 10 pc?

interesting to play and compare different versions, have you tried Fxt Howard patch before, what is the difference from this one and that one? Which version now of Outrun two years best to play this or Tecknoparrot version or chiro outrun 2 beta on Cbxr Emulator ? 1

In my opinion it is the PC version with these current updates. Just set the resolution to crazy high, perhaps do a few personal preferred changes in the .ini files (very easy to do) and off you go.. to me it looks just as great (or even better) as the Teknoparrot arcade version. I used FXT before but not any longer. I play with a pad and not a wheel, but hopefully better wheel support will be implemented in these updates in the future.

"unfortunately" yes, TeknoParrot is way ahead if you want to play on PC using a wheel

My anti-virus detected a threat in the patched exe and automatically deleted it. This was with the most recent version.

@@chilly6470 Any way to get it running at 90fps on OLED Deck without speeding up the gameplay? I changed that frame rate thing in the tweek ini file, but only 60fps runs at normal gameplay speed.

@@GradyKallenbach....... I'm still using my old version which runs perfectly at 1200x800. I don't see the need to get this updated version tbh. Maybe I will at some point, just to see is there any diffence.

Not tried this patch but i did install outrun pc 2 months back and ran the graphics fix,60fps max settings The psp emulated version upscaled is also good but the ps3 version looked better than pc due to a few graphics glitches on pc version,ps3 ver seemed to have bloom or haze,pc version was lacking something Thats 3 options for steamdeck and all three are good psp is easiest to setup quick and play but obviously not as detailed

@@patrickhawthorneLS PC version has a misplaced file that handles the bloom and lensflares. Simply moving the file to the correct subdirectory fixes the issue. A pretty amateur mistake by the developers for sure but, at least it's an easy fix.

Great relase but unfortunately wheel support is still a mess compared to TeknoParrot :( Hopefully it will be adressed soon

Can't buy it on PC , unless it's across the ocean .

Nonsense, online play still works on Xbox 360 Rubbish comments with no first hand experience

Original Out Run looks and drives better.
