And the shapes they make with their bodies. Some hunched with coats clasped around them & hands in pockets...some tall and regal, hourglass-figured with their arms wrapped around their chests & shoulders...some arms out as they stiffly sway. Wonderful physical direction. There is a lot MORE going on in terms of the historical referencing in the fashion, the doll like makeup & tottering movement (which also evokes women tottering on the pavement once they've left somewhere with too many drinks), the incredible hair, adult Parisian nightlife references and all of the different textile techniques, even the silicone body enhancements on the hips, buttocks, etc, that create a fantasy like set of shapes to the human form, the lighting, etc etc etc...but it's all stunning. Striking and emotive. My God.

I know the lighting is essential for the story concept.......but I would have liked a bit more to see the detailing on the pieces. There was so much to see in each outfit.
