Great help really appreciated. (but keep it simple 1-2-3- hold trip button in, start engine, watch light blink go steady then out.( usually takes about 15seconds).

My maintence required light had been flashing but this morning it just stayed on. So I came to YT for a reason it's on. Thanks to you I found both the reason and how to fix it. Again, thanks.

I've taken my CRV to the Honda service dept. with this problem. The mechanic showed me how to reset, but I forgot how being that it was about a year ago. I did what YOU said and it worked. After holding the reset for about 10 seconds it did go off. Thank so much. This is the 3rd time I've come to U-tube and found the exact video I needed for my 2005 CRV.

Dude, you are a god. I just had my light come on in my 2004 CR-V and had to call people about it. All said I'd have to have the dealer check it to turn it off or maybe a specialist mechanic. At least most did know it was just a timer type alert. Thank you so much for the video! I just got this car so I don't know stuff about it yet.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS. Fantastic help; saved us a trip (and money) to the Honda dealer. Funny how this light just happened to come on after the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for an air-bag recall. Coincidence? Probably not.

I know modern auto makers do these lights to encourage (scare) you into going to the dealership. . . BUT for those who actually can & do their own maintenance these reminders can be a pain - Thanks for showing me how to reset this on my wife's 2005 CRV!

Thanks for the information the generation 1 Honda CRV has a slot on the instrument cluster to do the same thing by resetting the indicator with your ignition key. thanks again

Thx. Your method worked on my 2003 CRV. Others said "To reset this maintenance light, you will put the key in the ignition. Next you will press and hold the odometer reset knob, which can be found on the dash where the car's current mileage is located. While you continue holding that now you will turn the key to the first position but do not start the engine.......NOPE!

Would you know why the Drive indicator light comes on with the rest of the cluster when the key is in the on position? Goes off with the others but I don’t believe it should come on at all.2003 crv

I will do it. After I change the oil. 2 QUESTIONS, Does your engine temperature gauge stay on the cooler end ? and, Have you had any troubles with the brakes ?

On my made in UK(vin starts a S) 2005 cr-v I had to hold trip odometer button, turn key to on position and continue pressing trip odometer button for 10 seconds. Then light blinked once and went out. Then I started car and light stayed out. I could not seem to get it to reset when went to on then start.

I did a bit of a research and found out that this feature is apparently only available on the Canadian model.
