Yes I enjoyed watching you make a mail box post and knots they say adds character, also whoever held the camera did a great job keeping it still and focused........
The thoughtfulness of it All.🤝
never a boring video my friend i enjoyed every second of it
That Cedar looked fresh and therefore I could almost smell it from here. I love the scent of newly cut Cedar. And by the way, I've come to really enjoy watching and listening to the lessons you've learned from all your years of woodworking. Kudos to you.
I did enjoy watching, thank you very much. It is coming along nicely, looking forward to the next video.
Such a great Video like always.I always appreciate the time you dedicate to details.God bless you both.
Most excellent! Thank you.
Fine looking mailbox
Great video, lots of helpful information too. I felt like I was right there !
Love the details!
I do like that tractor. Great to see it in action.
Nice job ! 👍
I would say that you are a master craftsman.
This design is beautiful.
Sure looks nice, glad to see another video
Another lovely , interesting video , thank you 😂🇬🇧
This video is awesome! Really strong work
Wonderful video. Be careful with that tractor
Great video. Nice wood, like the knots. Your very skilled. Peace. Thank you
Very interesting, thank you. That 'S' curve at the ends of the cross-member is called an 'ogee curve". I didn't know that until I started woodturning. I'm binge-watching your videos again... they are really informative, relaxing and enjoyable.

Excellent video. It is a pleasure to watch you use your tools. Thanks for the video!
Great timing , been looking for your videos . Iam needing a new mailbox and post , yours is perfect and just what I want . From Trenton , Georgia be safe my friends and keep them videos coming.
Fine craftsmanship as usual! Great video and thanks AGAIN for teaching me to sharpen cutting edges with a HONE! You gize rock.
that is what I call true craftsmanship , one not every body would take the time to do such fine work or , two they would use the electric tools they got and make a pattern that there tools can do , and three not every got the patient to do it they would go to the wood center and buy a piece of wood and make do with it , adding the iron to it make it even more your own creation con't wait to see what is it going to look like installed on the side of the road have a nice from the crazy Canadian
As a fellow KZreadr, I appreciate your good editing and nice camera work.

Thank you for noticing. I am sure you know what I’m talking about when I say to do a job is fairly difficult but to do a job and make it into a video makes it 10 times more of an effort. Thanks for your positive feedback and also thanks for your interaction we really appreciate that

@@CarvingAPath I couldn't agree more! BTW beautiful end product. Most people couldn't afford the true price of that true craftsmanship : )
Lots of new tools being used. Love to see that you all are getting further on. Very fulfilling project with both wood and steel, but the best part I think was the awesome camera work. great angles. movement speed is spot on. super job camera lady;)
Work on your home place never ends. A labor of love for sure on a hot day. Still, you'll enjoy the work for years to come. Thanks for sharing, look forward to part two.
Crafty, one of a kind, enjoy your videos
I needs to go make me a bigger mallet now.

Really nice work, always enjoy your videos " Thank You " for taking us along. Stay safe till next time, looking forward to seeing it upright...
oh man, working the forge in the heat has got to be rough! Great video! thanks as always!
Thankyou for new video, I was waiting for it
Love the music you have as sound track. Suits so well. All the best.
Looking good. Patiently waiting for part 2!
instead of pinning my skillsaw guard, I removed it, and found it accepts a bigger blade. No regrets.
When I saw that forge fire up, I started sweating......here in Ouachita Mountains it’s plenty hot as well! Definitely on of the hottest and humid June’s I remember! Love the work your doing there......mail box’s and the post are a point of pride even on rural Arkansas byways!

I was wondering why he wears such a large fire hazard on his face, during that heat.
Hey man, thanks guggu
Skill
Hot here in Kentucky also, like your videos
That is a beautiful piece of wood and you did it justice.👍🙌😁 I noticed the leaf springs in the background. I'm assuming you use them in making tools.

I watched this again after watching ya'lls latest video . I absolutely hate that this trouble has come into yours and all your family's lives. I wish ya'll could go home. Take care.
good afternoon. I ask you to tell us and show your forge forging
Nice and sharp chisel! I can hear it. Just curious; did you try the cross member in the mortice before you cut the O.G. detail on the ends? I know my own propensity for errors; that would have been part of the process of cutting the mortice! Nice thorough work, in spite of the heat and humidity!! Wait!(40:20) did you do all that carving and chopping in one day!?!?
I Love that mail box! Forging in this heat makes a guy really appreciate a cool drink of water And a dip in the creek LOL. Question, completely off topic! How do y'all prevent ticks? or do you. I love Arkansas but man, a guy cant walk into any kind of brush without picking up travelers!!! Just curious if there is some kind of tick repellent or if it's just something im going to have to get used to.

The ticks and chiggers are absolutely awful out here. Where do most of our camping and walking and exploring in the woods in the winter time. But if we have to go out into the woods we use diatomaceous earth. It really helps with the chiggers and also with the ticks. But there is no two ways about it they are absolutely awful

In Washington we had ticks but not like down here. I love Arkansas, have to get used to the Humidity and bugs though. I love the people. I'm looking forward to winter. I want to explore the forest. Fortunately I enjoy winter camping. Cold camping is good for my mental wellbeing. Is diatomaceous earth good to put on our dogs?
yeah working green wood is different than dried. what angle is that chisel ground to? it seems to work great in that green cedar
👌✌️👍🫶♥️🇨🇦

Cedar and Cypress are two different species. We are using Eastern red Cedar. There is also a western red cedar. Cedar is incredibly rot resistant as well as Cyprus .Cyprus also works extremely well in exterior conditions
