💙 Who are we?
We are Ben and MP!
Recently we decided to purchase a two-masted wooden schooner in Brazil. The fun detail about our story is that the boat we bought was sinking and relying on many bilge pumps to survive so we had to lift it onto the dry to start a full refit. Once the boat was lifted (for the first time in her life) we realized that the work needed was much more than expected. Between bailing or accepting the challenge, we decided to go for the second option. Watch us as we bring Yabá back to life with the help of an amazing team of traditional shipwrights, sharing every phase of the process, overcoming the highs and lows and having fun along the way.

The timing of this is so amazing. 2 completely different projects and both Yaba and Tally Ho are at sea almost at the same time in a long while

Now we just wait for Sarinda to get seaworthy too.
What a monumental episode! (To quote MP) to leave the yard, to power around the coast with a purring engine, to have your first anchorage and to have given Caillou & Licky a better life. There really is nothing you can't do with hard work, a few friends and the support of 100,000 (Or Million if you are Ben) May you have good wind in your sails and countless happy miles with the beautifully restored Yaba! =)

Yes, 100,000,000 is a pretty good score.
Well done, I cannot believe its been 3.5 years in the boatyard. You have taken so many people on an adventure, that they would have never experienced for themselves. I cannot wait to see Yaba under sail. The sound of silence when a noisy diesel is turned off is priceless. The next chapter has just begun.
We are happy and proud to be among the 100,000 and growing followers! Yes, you all worked with love and sweat; now, live the dream! May all your voyages be uneventful. We shall support you as long as you allow us to be part of the crew. Now, let us finish up the remaining tasks and get going!
I have to admit....I was one of the folks way back at the beginning that thought you should abandon the refurbishment of Yaba, and instead just put the money into a newer boat that required less work. But I was definitely wrong! I've followed you from day 1, and have enjoyed every minute of your journey thus far. I'm sure the feeling of satisfaction you get from sailing a boat that you built yourselves is much greater than buying another of the production fiberglass boats we see on other sailing channels. Congrats on 100,000 subscribers, and on starting the next phase of your journey! I'll be following along!

I've been a subscriber from the beginning. Life is a Book full of chapters. The people that helped you bring life back to Yaba are now woven into the fabric of your life. For us who watch your channel it brings joy and a great big smile to our hearts. We are looking forward to your next chapter of your future post.
This channel is all about the romance. The romance for that wonderful old boat, the romance between each other and ultimately the romance for the adventure that sailing can bring. I'm in love with it all ❤

Make that two ❤ ! I am a hopeless romantic but you know what? I love ❤️ it!
Can't wait to see her all dressed up in her new sails. She's going to look even more beautiful.
Damn, this is a beautiful moment! Seeing you, heading out for your "semi"-maiden voyage and hitting 100.000 subscibers on the same day you cast anchor out on the blue for the first time...priceless. Fair winds and may the waves be always kind to you! 😁 I hope you get your sails up pretty fast, so you can be real POIRATES. YARR!
Your ship builders are the enablers of your dream. There are a lot of Patrons and others who donated that helped the builders to pay their bills and to happily go about their work. Many people and family behind the scenes and yourselves. Nice one guys. I will be here until I can't be, watching you go about your lives for as long as you choose. Thankyou.
I still can’t get over how beautiful Yabá looks at anchor. We know you still have a fair amount of work left to be fully livable and sea worthy, but looking forward to you really getting under way. May you have fair winds and a following sea in all your new adventures. ❤️
We are an aging couple from England and have watched every episode. Congratulation on your maiden voyage and achieving 1,00000 subscribers. We feel every emotion with you. The most beautiful boat afloat. We wish you every happiness.

Wow, thank you so much!
I can't imagine the rollercoaster of emotions you 2 are feeling. Saying goodbye to the amazing craftsmen that transformed a sinking Yaba into a beautiful nautical work of art. I have watched every episode since you started and I too am sad to see you leave the maintenance yard. But all good things must come to an end and I am excited to see what adventures lie ahead like for the both of you.
What an amazing transformation from the worn eaten, sinking vessel to the beautiful Yaba of today. When Roberta and Duca first introduced you to us, I started watching partly expecting to see Yaba at the bottom of the ocean. When you survived, it amazed me and I was compelled to follow your journey. Amazing is to inadequate of a description of you two and the Yaba story. I’m proud of you and the whole Yaba team😁 God’s Blessings from beautiful Cobbs Creek Virginia USA💕
As a picky subscriber, I appreciate not only all of the hard work you put into Yaba but all of the behind the scenes hard work to create this content for people like me. Excellent job.❤
WOW, guys. Best thumbnail ever. This picture does say a thousand words! You should frame this one and hang it in the boat. Standing, fully rigged mast, in the water, fully polished and ship shape, Yaba' holds its souls full of love. Ben's battle-hardened look of victory to M P's now perfect smile, WE the 100K are so proud of you. Well done!
Been watching since you rolled in with all pumps running and the thought of building a new boat with an old boat in the way!!!! NOW with sailing "fine furniture" boat, I couldn't be happier. I'm 75 and living my dream thru you guys. SO good job guys, waiting for Sunday like never before.
VERY many CONGRATULATIONS. Now the big question - that lovely woman has been by your side through all the trials and tribulations you have been through. I think you are but you should be proud of her (and each other). When are you going to get down on one knee and pop the question? Oh and don't forget we all want to see it!!!
"I still can't believe how incredible your schooner Yaba looks at your new Anchor. Although work is still to make her seaworthy, I'm excited for her to set sail as soon as possible. May the winds be in your favor, and may Our Lady of the Sea watch over you in all your new adventures." "Thanks, MP, for your gratitude for the support you've provided to the 100,000 subscribers of your channel. Your heartfelt words truly meant a lot. I want to sincerely say, 'You're welcome,' from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for your weekly videos, GeoRom."

This was the episode that was in every aspect a huge milestone. Congratulations for the first sea trial and the 100k subscribers. For Ben: try the hammock on bungee cords 🤣
Congratulations you two. I remember when you guys pulled it out of the water.... holy crap... 3.5 years ago. So cool to see you on the open water after so much work.
I knew years ago that the waterworks would flow when it was time to leave the yard. What an amazing coincidence that you reached 100k on your maiden voyage! You two are the best and your videos are always perfect. I can't wait to see where you go from here on my "Coffee With Yaba' " Sundays! See you next week and thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Ben and MP, you are two amazing people! I’m so happy for you and look forward to the future adventures. Oh, MP you brought a tear to my eyes! Cheers
I have followed you from the beginning watching Yaba come back to life. This has been amazing and the two of you should be very proud! Congratulations
Congratulations both, but also for all the subscribers and patriots and donators. They keep telling it is important, and I believe them. So also pat your self on the back. As they wrote, 100,000 hearts made this journey. Now get some sails, a harnas and a hammock 😁 .
Congratulation! And “FINALLY” must be your password, your lucky charm . Continue to be like this forever .
I’m sooo proud of you. It goes beyond words! MP. You are so adorable! It’s rather magical the way the channel has transformed being at sea is quite the difference in the way your channel presents itself. You’ve come so far. ❤thanks for sharing
Congratulations you Two. Love Watching your progress since day one and all the effort to prevent Yaba from sinking to what she is this day. ❤😊
From the moment OD Life Crafting told me about your channel, I subscribed and have been following you more than 3 years. From a leaky boat to this jewel. What a ride it was.

AWESOME, 3.5 years in the shipyard. You and ALL the people the VERY TALENTED people in the shipyard was just a great and enjoyable adventure to watch. Yaba under sail will be the next great adventures to enter in your journal. Looking forward to them!
We feel like part of the Yabá family, having watched each episode for 3.5 years. Looked forward to each episode and can’t wait to share your next chapter! Congratulations to you both! 🤗🥳🥂🍾
Best of luck, it has been a journey. Many hardships overcome, many evenings celebrated and many more to come. I can’t wait to see her with new rags on!
Congrats on 100k and getting Yaba safetly out to sea. She looks beautiful and you should be so proud of your achievement ❤
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOU FIRST “unofficial” cruise. 👏👏👏👏👏
Yaba looks so big in the water It is like house in the sea, Congratsguys you deserved it.
God what ah nice ship. I can't get over how good Yaba looks compared to what it looked like when you first sailed to the Shipyard...sinking.
I came to your channel when Roberta and Duca introduced you years back. It’s been a lot of fun watching you make your dream happen. Congratulations on all you’ve done and best wished for all you’ve yet to do. Hug the dogs for me please.
fantastic video 2x👍 The guys in the yard will be lost without you two and Yabá.
Congratulations guys. I was one of those first 10k or so and enjoyed the journey. Your belief in yourselves is impressive. Your work ethic, your willingness to dive in, get your hands dirty, and learn how things are done is impressive. YOU EARNED THIS!!! Enjoy it. Remember this day when the dark days come and remember there will be other bright days ahead! Just keep being you, and doing you!
How wonderfull...you've worked so hard for this.Good luck for your future travels and finitions on YABA.. I 'll be following you every week .
Been with you vicariously for a few years now. I can't afford to send youtubers money but I just try to help with the likes and occasional comments. It is really amazing what you two and your crew have done with that boat. Can't wait to see her under sail! 😅
So happy to see you on the Big Blue. And yes, MP, your FI-NA-LLY so much echoed Roberta's! What a wonderful nod to Odd's maiden voyage.
Congratulations on your first 100,000 subscribers. Thank you all for sharing your wonderful experiences with us! Ending each week with you and the people around you brings me joy and energises me with positive feelings for the upcoming week. I sincerely wish you all the best! ♥♥♥
We've watched so many milestones that you guys have reached while rebuilding Yaba but none surpass the maiden voyage. 100,000 subscribers it just a short stop to a 200,000 and beyond. Congratulation for reaching these many milestones.
So perfect , you leave safe harbor , begin your new chapter , and hit 100,000 . You had a lot less than 100 when i came aboard .
Congratulations YABA!! 100K !! So well deserved you two.

As others have stated, it's hard to believe it's been 3.5 years since you were introduced by Duka and Roberta. I've followed you since then and will freely admit I was skeptical at the amount of damage that was revealed during the initial tear down. It's really wonderful to see the restoration and Yabá is a beautiful boat. She'll be even more beautiful once she has wings to spread. As an aside, MP you have really lovely handwriting! I hope your log fills with many great voyages!
It is truly amazing. The fact you guy originally went in thinking you just needed a keel. Then it snowballed into darn near the entire boat! Still looking forward to the "rebuilding our boat in 10 minutes" (our however you want to make it) video. I imagine it will be your most watched video. Congratulations on leaving the boat yard permanently. 👏 👏 👏
I was with you from the beginning and now you are on the water. I know that those of us that have been here weather new or old are so happy to see you reaping the fruits of your hard work and so many that were helping. Fair sailing! from Tucson Arizona.
How wonderful for you both after all this time, I have watched from the beginning and its so beautiful to see a dream come true. Now Yaba is ready to take you on many adventures, all you have to do now is grab her by the tail and hang on!
You have got there and achieved your dreams. Congratulations. James.

As hard as it was to imagine Yabá making sail when you guys fought to keep her from foundering on your way to the shipyard, everyone has done a fabulous job getting her restored⛵️It’s great seeing you guys out with the boats❣️Also, congrats on the 100,000 subscribers💯

MP you are not just Ben And Mp, you are BEN & MP, what a great day, congratulations on the 100k subs, well deserved. YABA makes a fantastic 'figure' moored up in the 'open' waters. You'll have Yaba fine trimmed in no time at all compared to the time you spent on land, then you can start your well earned and deserved wonderfull lives on bord.
Extraordinary! You have turned a rotten wooden boat into a fabulous modern vessel, and developed your skills to new levels. Keep, working on new ideas on the safety processes Yaba needs and lots more.
Liked that proud Father moment your Dad made with his daughter on camera. What's it feel not having to worry about bilge pumps going off and a sea worthy boat.
I love the feel of leaving port and into open ocean. You feel the power and freedom of open water. Great day for all of you. Congratulations.
Nothing more exciting than getting to 100K subscribers on your maiden voyage!!!😊🎉❤ Whoot Whoot
Dear MP and Ben, I'm touched to tears of happiness for you to have accomplished such a mile stone in your lives. I saloute you BIG TIME. I love the ocean and one day I will be on the water too. Best regards Bengt from Norway
It's all been said about how special each and every moment of this journey has beem. I am sitting here with a smug look on my face (as though I really had anything to do with it all) and such a feeling of contentment that it's frightening! So much to look forward to----and at 80, each moment is treasured. Thank you, your crew, and the four footed canine marine element.
The world is yours! Thank you for taking us with you!
I’m sitting here watching your video, and grinning like a fool! I am so happy for you! A long three years of hard work culminating in beginning to live a new chapter of life.
Yaba's true beauty wasn't revealed until she was in her element. Thank you for sharing. From the high plains of North Central Montana USA.
Oh my gosh I'm crying! Happy tears, happy day! You must be sooo proud of yourselves! Thank you for bringing joy and goodness into our lives and may Yaba look after you as you have her. Awesome! just awesome
MP - You absolutely said it perfectly! FINALLY! Now we’ve got four famous blue water travelers from Brazil! You, Ben, Roberta, and Duca! ❤️. I’ve been a follower since day one. You’re both rockstars 100%. I congratulate and wish you the very best!
Many tears fell as I saw those guys waving from shore. Open seas ahead! Fair winds, my friends.
My gosh, I remember when you were first introduced to a you tube audience with a sinking boat. What grit and determination you both have to work so incredibly hard for your dream. You are both so deserving of a voyage full of wonder.
After watching every episode i don't feel you are strangers at all..... just friends who i have not met... yet! I can feel MP's huge heart and kind spirit giving us all a big hug and in this day and age that is a awesome feeling to have! Can't wait to see Yaba' with full sails. Cheers!
I’ve watched for about 6months.. and I’m so happy for you guys… I say a little prayer for you both every day 🙏😄⛵️
Wow! What a journey! From a sinking boat at the dock with Duca and Roberta to the voyage where you were almost sinking the whole way to 3.5 years in the yard with those amazing shipwrights to launching again. Quite a journey , From buying a rotten sinking party boat to moving out with a sound renewed sailing yacht. Hull dry inside, engine runs well, Internal systems work. Now for the Sailing equipment ! Rig for sailing and show off Yuba's laundry! Good luck to Yuba and her crew.
I would drink a bottle of that emotion. Congradulation.
Congratulations Yaba, well done , I have watched your journey from the beginning . Your boat is the best ever. 🇺🇸
Now I said it before y'all Yaba is an absolutely beautiful boat but seeing her in that Anchorage I am proud of each and one of you for povening those naysayers wrong!
