Brings me back to the early 60's when I loved 1/2A Scale Control Line. My first engine powered model was a Scientific Models Biplane powered by a Cub .049. My AMA number was 0429.

I just just got done flying a buster with a fox 35 stunt on 52ft lines, flew fine , BUT I DIDNT THINK THAT ENGINE WAS EVER GOING TO STOP , I was staggering around all over that field, I also fell on my A$$ when it FINALY quit . ( I am now 80 and hadnt flown C/L since the early 1970s ) I think I remember BARFING too!!! 😝😝😝😝😝😝🙁🙁😮😮😆😆😆

I saw that video just after commenting and you're right. It was much better - very cool!

Never had a Cox 0.8 but I did have a couple of DC Wasp 0.8. Cracking little engines that powered a few of my early endeavours into model aircraft, both control line (KK Phantom Mite) and free flight (KK Snipe).

A great looking model. Tone down the elevator response and it will fly as well as it looks.

Beautiful flying field! Great looking plane, but really squirrelly! I'd crash immediately!

Why I like UC more than RC is you rarely crash more than 50 feet away from where you're standing😢😂

If I may offer, it will help to calm the cl airplane by straightening your control arm. Find where your wrist needs to be for level flight, then if you wish to ascend raise your arm at the shoulder. I was taught this by my dad in the 1970's. Hope it helps.

The main issue was an AFT CG … that I forgot to check prior the first flight. Here is the flight with the right CG : kzread.info/dash/bejne/anlq2cGol5y1f6w.htmlsi=XM6F3i5h4PrtoJb9

Indeed … and it’s written in the video’s description. Look here with the right CG : kzread.info/dash/bejne/anlq2cGol5y1f6w.htmlsi=2FPGDOFjYd2i_-kV

    8 circles in 21 seconds = 69 km/h ... Did not count arm's length, makes 77 km/h. Perhaps 3-blade with less pitch ?
