Nah this is actually insanely smart!! Especially since the Zenin clan keeps pumping out people with zero CE I would say this is a very logical assumption to make!!

To add on to the explanation •The sign that Mahoraga has finished adapting is when the dharma wheel spins 5 times •The adaptation is continuous and cumulative in the sense if you use one type of attack on it say Sukuna's cleave then each time the cleave attack hits him , he adapts to it , making him reach adaptation faster. So basically the speed of adaptation is directly proportional to no. of attacks of one type that hit him. • Mahoraga's sword is called Sword of Extermination , full of positive cursed energy. So Any curse that comes in contact with it will be wiped out from existence immediately. • If you want to defeat him you need atleast Two types of attacks and have high burst dmg output.

Correction: the Executioner's Sword is Higuruma's sword. Mahoraga's sword is the Sword of Extermination (but more accurately meaning "exorcism", as in for exorcising cursed spirits).

you don't necessarily need two attacks, sukuna only required 2 because he already adapted to slashes in general. It was stated cleave fit the criteria of ohkoing Mahoraga except he already adapted to slashes which made it unable to instakill him, hence the fire arrow. If you fire a purple when mahoraga is first summoned, he will still die without needing 2 attacks.

a slight correction that's kinda manga spoilers. Mahoraga's adaptation starts once you hit him with a particular technique. Even if you dont hit him with that technique ever again, he'll still fully adapt over time but hitting him with the technique again just makes the adaptation process faster

I thought the rock paper scissors analogy was that basically you make your choice after your opponent basically ensuring your victory as long as you get to make a move

​@BlandyBoiYT the whole point is that using mahoraga is like cheating at rock paper scissors; using a late throw, aka intentionally trying to throw your hand as late as possible to try to see what your opponent does before you commit to one option. Saying the analogy is stupid bcuz of that is stupid.

spoilers feel like the way sukuna used the ten shadows, using piercing water, mahoraga's wheel without summoning him was the way a ten shadow user was supposed to actually supposed to use to beat mahoraga. Like imagine if megumi had gotten up to hakari or geto level's cursed energy manipulation and starting mixing and matching the shikigami's power withouth summoning them. we've seen what he could do with max elephants water and theorectically he could use nue's lightning kinda like kashimo uses his own lightning making his punches, kicks etc unblockable since they paralyze on instant, use rct without actually knowing it by using round deer's power and stuff like that. Seems to me like the ten shadows is one of, if not the most versatile ct and even if megumi can't reach gojo's level because he's a prodigy even among six eyes + limitless users, he should have no problem being yuta's level at his peak

could it be Black rope or some sort of enchanted material to suppress the cursed energy output/effects ? Sukuna's cleave might cause bleed effect ( not sure since no one probably survived after getting hit with it) so to prevent the bleed effect it was wrapped it that enchanted cloth?

what would be the opposite of idle transfiguration!! if you channel positive cursed energy into idle transfiguration

Mahoraga does not need to be hit repedeatly by a attack to adapt. Once he has been hit he adapts to it. When he has adapted he continues to improve/ develop alternativ adaptations. Beeing hit again speeds the time needed to adapt up.

Not quite, he doesn't fully immediately adapt, that would make the point of the dharma wheel spinning multiple times pointless. He begins adapting when the wheel spins, and it accelerates when he is hit. So while he does technically immediately adapt to the move, he doesn't become fully immune just at that point.

Can megumi bring fully realized Maki in the ritual with a bunch of cursed tools in to help defeat the general and it still count?

Given that the wheel on his head has 8 points, does that mean he can adapt to no more than 8 different types of attack at one time? If so, would he have to "lose" the adaptaion to one to fit another?

Hm i always thought beating Mahoraga is nearly impssible, but if he works like that perhaps you could defeat him fairly easy with a good strategy. Using multiple kind of attacks. After all Megumi has a lot of shikigami's, each having different kind of atttack

​@@mybugattigovroomvroomu missed the point. Mahoraga adapts to moves he is hit by, he can't just adapt to everything. Having a wide arsenal with good ap is still important like with gojo. He doesn't adapt immediately so yeah needing multiple moves is important

Is Mahoraga’s adaptation rest on summoning or carry over from previous experience? For example if summoned again would Mahoraga already be adapted to Sukana’s cleave & dismantle.

Biggest question is why does maharaga listens to sukuna vs gojo because megumi didn’t subjugate him and if gojo was involved in the ritualistic summon why doesn’t maharaga attack sukunas vessel aka megumi

Would the use of Cursed Tools invalidate the taming process?

Something I find cool about Mahoraga is that he's based on humans. Every shikigami is based on some sort of animal, and Mahoraga is based on humans and their ability to adapt, which would explain why his design is so humanoid.

Can mahoraga adapt to multiple things at once? Like if sukuna hadnt killed him with the fire arrow, would he start back at square one now adapting to fire, and would he no longer be adapted to slashing attacks because now hes focusing on fire?

Also, the sword of exorcism its equipped with would make this match up quite difficult. Cant it just one shot all the other 9 shadows made of cursed energy? So, for a 10 shadows user to defeat it in one on one combat, the sorcerer would likely have to use something other than the hereditary technique while still being powerful enough to one shot mahoraga.

The main difference between shikigami and curses is that shikigami require a medium for summoning. Cursed spirit manipulation is similar shikigami use but doesnt require a medium. Why wouldn't mahoragas sword work?

Does not maho work like the other shikigamis? If u kill it ,it will pass down its power to wnother shikigami? If sukuna killed it will it obey sukuna?

It should be kenjaku's since sukuna never used CSG means it is unique to the soul

if the mahoraga was used previously to defeat the six eyes in the previous era, and Sukuna could defeat the mahoraga in the current era, then does that a little bit kinda imply that Sukuna would be stronger than Gojo?

I have a question when sukuna defeated mahoraga and when he took over Megumis body is mahoraga in control of sukuna because he defeated him

But i still don't think even at full potential 10 shadows can surpass Gojo bcz even with Sukuna using it without backing from his own CT 10shadows couldn't defeat gojo

I don't think it's been confirmed either way, but I would lean on the side that he resets between summonings.

So, like, I get the idea of shikigami, but WHAT is Mahoraga? Like, did some sorcerer way back when just go "I'll make the coolest most overpowered shit possible!" and make Mahoraga? Is Mahoraga a natural being that just exists in some pocket dimension somewhere that they summon a copy of? Is there a 'prime' Mahoraga out there that existed at one time? Or like if it was created then why can't Megumi just make a stronger creature than Mahoraga on his own?

i have a question about gojo's infinity, won't it hinder him in like when he wants to punch someone! cuz of infinity between him and his opponent he has disable his infinity to punch someone isn't that the best time to poison him.. or like if he want to wear clothes he has disable infinity to wear his clothes...just poison his clothes...or poison the tea cup..

He can filter what his infinity affects, for something as his own attacks the barrier doesn't interfere, although he can use it as a barrier infuses push/tackle like he did with Hanami.

Infinity increases the space between anything attacking him and him. It does not affect Gojo in any way whatsoever besides the miniscule drain of keeping it active.

@1:07 It was never confirmed that the clash between Gojo and Megumi's ancestor involved Mahoraga. That was just Megumi guessing that this (sacrificing yourself to win) had to have been the way it happened. Gojo told Megumi to stop thinking that way, because that mindset is keeping him weak. This would suggest that Mahoraga wasn't the cause of their deaths.

SPOILER ALERT !!! I have a question from the manga ahead. So anime only people, please don't read. Since Sukuna uses the technique to summon Mahoraga during his fight against Gojo and seemed to have control over it, i assume he did the subjugation ritual again (during the preparation period) and tamed Mahoraga. But now my question is: Assuming Yuji's plan of getting Megumi back after defeating Sukuna works, would Megumi keep control over Mahoraga then based on Sukuna's success in taming it (since Sukuna was in his body) ? Or would he have to do the subjugation ritual again to tame it ? And is Mahoraga even still alive after the Gojo vs Sukuna fight ?

​@@xavmanisdabestestif we're using nothing but the ten shadows, have that ox run laps to build momentum before summoning Mahoraga, then once the ritual starts, nullify his adaptation with the deer, bind him with the frogs and induced paralysis with the bird, maybe even keep him distracted with the rabbits, keep him in place until he gets run over by the ox and it's gg. Mahoraga tamed.
