Both Tata and Mahindra are giving us great cars now. Frankly, brezza is as quick as expected. Creta is great but ride quality is not best. Duster have great ride quality, nice acceleration, but not attractive interiors. We were waiting for better options and wallah, we got Nexon, Harrier and now XUV 300. Superb cars.

XUV 300 is the best in this segment. I had the test drive for both cars Nexon and XUV 300 at the same day with 10 minutes gap. Nexon has blaind spot in the right A pillar, it has big cabin noice, and a lot of body roll. Even clutch is also harder than XUV 300. But in XUV 300 is far better in all the above. No cabin noice, very less almost no body roll, very easy light clutch. Very fun to drive. More safer then Nexon because of all wheal disc brake and 6 air bags. The 17" allay wheel give you more stable and confident drive. Besides XUV is heavier than Nexon. XUV300 is the best in this segment. Go for XUV 300. It has fun to drive strong punchy diesel engine. After a test drive with Nexon,Kia Seltos I purchased XUV 300W8(O) last week.

I have sat both in creta and xuv300. 2nd row seats are wider than Creta and cushioning of the seats(both front & rear) are way better than creta. Suspension is really good & despite not having a rear AC vents I was surprised that how strong the flow of AC is from the front row. Both the engines are powerful and torquey. Only downside of this car is it's boot space. It's way little for any trip. Airport drops & pick ups will be impossible if u have middle size suitcase or bigger. If you could live with that then it checks out everything. And probably I think W8 is the best value for money option.

The most expensive Compact SUV in India! Not overpriced, but definitely higher than expected • 257-liter boot is the smallest in the segment. There are cheaper hatchbacks which have a larger boot • Concerns over niggles in a freshly baked Mahindra. • Lack of a proper middle variant. W6 trim is simply too bare-bones, while W8 is expensive! • No automatic option in a market that is moving toward ATs • Mahindra's after-sales service quality is a hit or miss. Remains a gamble • Some important features missing (dead pedal, parcel tray, rear air-con, steering reach adjustment etc

  • @gavin_drives

    5 жыл бұрын

Yes. You have to be in neutral for the engine to turn off and press the clutch to start it up again. Point is, in the time it takes you to press the clutch, slot in first and move off in a normal car, the engine is still starting up in this car. You have to wait with your foot on the clutch for 2-3 seconds, then move. Doesn't sound too difficult, but it doesn't feel natural if you're used to a car without a mild hybrid, and other manufacturers do it much smoother on their mild hybrids :)

Forget the features because for most buyers it won't be in their cars as these are not available even in top end W8 but W8(O) & those who can buy W8(O), can easily spend another 70-80k & buy Tata Harrier which is in higher segment & way more superior in all aspects. What matters in this segment is space, ride quality, boot space & safety. XUV300 doesn't have good amount of cabin space, poor bootspace & ride quality aren't great while NCAAP ratings are not known yet. In this segment, I would still bet on Tata Nexon which is VFM & complete package.

Just booked a W8 petrol today ... Believe me this is a perfect car in terms of what's being offered feature wise and performance wise... Initially I had booked a Creta S (d) and I had to cancel that for 300 ... The pearl white colour looks elegant in comparison to feeble Colors offered by creta and the drive quality of petrol engine is just awesome... The engine is silent and the test vehicle showed a mileage of 13 kmpl after driving it for 10 KM's ... A new vehicle can easily offer a 14 kmpl in city... Also cabin Is silent and interiors look upmarket... The onroad cost is 12.09 lakhs but its value for money keeping creta in perspective... The only disappointment is the boot space but it's a wise choice by Mahindra as sub 4 mtr spec has been rendered after a trade off between cabin space and boot... The cabin space is equal to creta.

But, many compact crossovers in India all have the same styling elements: contrast roof, blacked out A and C pillars and a steep raked A pillar and a boxier back end. The Creta, Brezza, Nissan Kicks (sort of, except its back end isn't boxy) and now the XUV. They all look exactly the same. :(

The front led strip is picked from Cadillac and rear headlights are from Maserati. The car is itself based on the Ssangyong Tivoli. The side dent on the Marazzo is straight out from Dodge Charger. So much from Mahindra. The product's mechanicals are Good but they should have made more efforts on the design of the vehicle's. An original design is more inspiring always.

Xuv 300 is good but Mahindra u dint price sensibly Base petrol manual model is 7.90L, on that same price I will buy Tata Nexon Automatic XMA with more features....what's the point if both are 1.2L engine then y should I pay more? Width and height wise xuv300 is merely 1cm more than nexon....fuel efficiency is almost same to both cars, bhp is same...xuv300 torque is 30nm more than nexon that's it, still nexon petrol base is 6.4L and Mahindra starts 7.9L that's whooping 1.5L more, instead on WASTING MONEY ON XUV300 FOR SOME FEATURES WILL BUY AND FEED PETROL OF 1.5L to my Nexon, And don't forget Nexon got 4star rating in ncap crash test Mahindra disappointed once again not an Indian company much more European company

XUV3OO has far better safety features at every level compared to the Nexon. The kind of features you get is amazing. Also base version of Nexon and XUV3OO are not the same. Mahindra's not the 'base version', it offers a lot more in its base version than does any of its competitors.

@@animanthakur yes bro but xuv300 least price model is 7.9L in that I can buy nexon with same features like in xuv300 least price model....I don't know about how xuv300 faired in ncap crash test, and regarding features some features are unnecessary and we hardly use it, what I see in my car is safety as top priority and mileage as I don't want my car to stand at my doorstep if I can't afford fuel as that is my opinion...yes what is like about xuv300 is it looks but boot space made me disappointed but heard lot about Mahindra suspension issue as I nvr owned it so can't predict just heard about it no offended

I think at such a price, we should get rear ac vent and rear charging points which xuv300 misses out. Whereas its rivals like Hyundai i20 and tata nexon gets rear acs and rear charging points also. Bt otherwise xuv300 is awsm in looks, styling, discs brakes in both rear front really awsm step and 7airbags, great safety importance is taken in mind. Very well done MAHINDRA 💙💙
